I should point out that in IE none of these problems come up—it’s all completely fine.

Then maybe you should try starting firefox with a new firefox userprofile (follow the instructions I linked to on the other thread)

try deleting yr sandbox cookies, and make sure you go through ilx.thehold.net — your bookmarks to real ILX won’t work just now.

deleting sandbox cookies seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the help.
