one of our exchange students is called shirley. jergins showed her the opening of laverne & shirley so she knew what he thought of when he heard her name.
the other is called brenda. jergins couldn’t get it out of his head that the middle brady sister is jan, not brenda, so he showed her a picture of the brady bunch to show what he thought when he heard brenda. which is true, he thought it. even though it is wrong.
after seeing both, shirley said, “shirley is prettier than brenda.”
the exchange students really deserve their own thread. a wonderful, adorable, hilarious thread. an exhausting thread. a thread of shopping, and asking questions, and posing for pictures. and shrieking when accidentally running into one another on campus. and lots of very fancy emoticons:
