I like the idea behind the recaptcha project, but it can get pretty bizarre sometimes.

I also got “the bandit” as a captcha while uploading copyrighted material to tinypic. it put me in a thoughtful, self-scrutinizing state of mind for all of 30 seconds, but it didn’t set me on a higher moral path or someshit like that. I like the idea of angels sending life-changing, soul saving-captcha messages to filesharers like me, but it’s probably just a bizarre fantasy of mine tbh.

I honestly don’t remember what I meant by that. I’ve been using the word bizarre bizarrely often lately.

the audio version of recaptcha is bizarre though. it plays 3-second snippets of golden age radio dramas and asks you to transcribe what you hear. way too much effort for lazy old me.
