fwiw i think paul has done about as well as anyone could ask whilst being the most famous person in the world for 60+ years

it’s true his biggest drawback is smarmy songwriting past, etc—but, he also does this weird experimental stuff constantly that no one really likes (two thumbs up on the concept) and has managed to avoid saying something horrifically awful, which is more than almost any of his contemporaries

but i will say, paul’s going up the power rankings. he’s more like the classic all-time best so it’s almost always uncool to love him the most, but as he continues to not do the worst ever thing where so many people in his shoes seem compelled to suck so badly and at any opportunity, you do have to hand it to him, i’d put him at 2. george 3, john love you mister but regrettably 4

strong supporter of ringo! decent guy, perfectly appropriate drummer . . . not a great singer but somehow it still worked out for . . . what those tracks were

george was deeply underrated but also an endless dick about it and then never made anything good after the early 70s

George is the one I’d most want to hang out with. John seemed to be on constant ‘transmit’ mode of whatever his current obsession was, I’ve heard all of Paul’s stories multiple times, Ringo doesn’t seem to have anything to say, George could be peevish and grumpy—but we could probably bond over Formula 1, Hinduism, Monty Python, or gardening.
