I just listened to these back to back & I think Bizarro has the better songs, but the engineering/production/whatev dynamics on Seamonsters are incredible—imo Albini’s finest hour.

That’s odd, Seamonsters doesn’t even rate for me. My personal struggle is between Bizarro and Watusi.

ha, today’s Album of the Day on allmusic is Bizarro with a link review that is very short and only four stars out of their five.

love them both but the engineering on Seamonsters is brutal, and on balance I think the songs are slightly better than Bizarro.

I always get caught up in Kennedy vs. Take Me as the better What Goes On rip-off. Can’t really get past that...
