I bought Rocksmith, the video game that lets you plug a guitar into the console to teach you how to play it. I only have an acoustic, though, so I also bought this pickup; unfortunately, the diameter of the soundhole in my guitar is less than 3.5 inches, and that pickup is made for 3.85–4.10 inches. So, what are my options? Are there soundhole pickups that can fit < 3.5’? If not, are there different kinds of pickups that don’t fit into the soundhole?
Also, definitely looking for something less than $50, and easy to install.
v cheap option—affix a contact mic to the bridge.
you can get a fairly cheap usb mic for $5, which i suspect might be compatible with rocksmith.
as far as i understand there is nothing fancy at all about the rocksmith adapter, all the fancy note detection is done in software.
This is the Rocksmith adapter:

Will these mics work with that? I looked at a contact mic on Amazon, and it doesn’t look to have a way to plug into that adapter.
You can get a female 1/4“ to 1/4” adapter that would work fine with rhat
IT WORKS. ^__^
ARRAGH I THINK IT BROKE.
