The “Born to Die” single is out January 23, with Del Rey’s new album, also titled Born to Die, out January 30 in the UK and January 31 in the U.S. UPDATE: The album will include “Blue Jeans”, “Off to the Races”, “Million Dollar Man”, and “Carmen”, among other tracks. A remix EP collecting reworkings by Damon Albarn, Clams Casino, and Woodkid will also be released, which adds a bit of clarification to the previously reported Albarn/LDR collaboration
i assumed she was joanna newsom pt 2 or some shit but i saw the video for ‘video games’ on mtv u on thanksgiving night while stoned & <3 it

even though i’m not really feeling the new song, it gives me hope for the album. i’m glad she seems committed to going full on pop, because as much as i love ‘video games’ i don’t think i could have stood that kind of pose for 40 minutes+.

yeah you kinda felt it even when you first heard “video games”, that she’d just hit upon this one magic thing that couldn’t necessarily be repeated.
i do wonder why she inspires such hate among americans, particularly. huge divide between the UK and US responses to her.
