yeah i’m as shocked as anyone. on his record there’s even a cool kid guest verse (an asher roth one would have been distracting but i don’t really have a problem w/ michael rocks, i actually really liked “cell dope” from earlier this year)

also fwiw i disagree that regional thug = has a big following, it’s obviously true of a few artists on there but it isn’t the case of boldy james particularly — i mean he has fans, but not like the jacka does where he can live off regional money (at least not yet) nor do i see why having been smart enough to develop a scene regionally makes one a ‘regional thug’ as if its a permanent albatross to be hung around their necks
