I’ve decided to sell a basically unused MIM “special edition” Telecaster (ash, natural finish) which seems to run about $400–450 on Ebay, maybe a little more. I need the space and I’m never going to learn to play, I should probably just give up on that fantasy.
Trying to decide if it’s worth trucking down to Guitar Center to get an offer from them—would I be likely to get about half of the Ebay rate from GC?

Guitar Center will definitely rip you off. If you don’t want to deal with the auction factor, I’d just sell it on craigslist.
