What it makes me think of is when one first encountered Paris Hilton it was as the name of an establishment made flesh, and effefctively her entire career to date has been some attempt to convince us that bricks and mortar can transcend into flesh (or at least that we as listeners are willing to consider transmorphication of the inhabitable into the inhospitable). It’s not so much that the stars are blind, it’s that they can’t see because they don’t have eyeballs, they have windows, balconettes, and gargoyles instead.
