Well, I will in a day or two..

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯Four months pass⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

I like the one where they chase the dog around with a sausage.

i like the one where they do a marginally different version of ‘beat box’.

i like the one where they do a marginally different version of ‘beat box’.

make that 4 versions which are marginally different.

however, having the cd with the proper original 12“ versions all collated is rather nice, and the book is ace (though i have yet to read the full thing properly)

Correct me if, but the versions of “BeatBox” as on the NME “Dept of Enjoyment” aint on it!

.. NME “Dept of Enjoyment”

sorry Mark, no bloody idea as i have never heard of this. one for the hardcore ztt collectors that one methinks.

that’s what’s the thing: they do a box-set with loads of filler and leave out that kind of thing (that i’ve never heard of). if you’re going to do it, do it right.

xpost sorry, that was a cassette back in the day, and possibly the first thing they released. I got it not becaue I’m hardcore, more I liked the NME cassettes, and that was probably one of the best ones.

the boxset is pretty damn packed with all manner of unheard gubbins (and plenty of recycled loops !), off to check the small print as there may be mention of that nme thing hidden away .. brb.

.. update—no mention anywhere in the credits/notes etc re that nme verison.

was it that different a version Mark? as this 4 cd is a lot of excess for a few old fairlight loops. basically its all about the originally cassette only ztt releases on cd 4 that do it for me, the rest is somewhat unecessary.

I’ll have to dig it up/iousendyt(anag) at some point.

these nme/maker tapes caused havoc in the pre soulseek/napster era for completists. not so anymore! cocteau twins’ orange appled!

i have u now!
