A few weeks ago, I caught the end of a music video that she’s in, all dressed up like a 50s housewife. It wasn’t JT but it might have been a Tom Waits track. Did I imagine this? I haven’t seen it since.

She’s marketed as a counter to all the fake blonde actresses in Hollywood, much like rock bands with a 1970s hard rock sound and style are meant to be the answered prayer for fans of “real” rock and roll who are sick of soft men with synths and goofy hair. Sure the same companies and agencies are usually pushing both products, but they like to pretend the heads side of the quarter is vastly different and worth far more than the tails side, when it’s time to advertise the heads side.
