Or you could take a listen to Blur’s album ’13’ (specifically, Bugman, 1992, Battle, Caramel, Trimm Trabb). Sadly I’m no longer welcome to publicise that album on ILX after an infamous ‘song-by-song review incident’ a few months back. :-(

IIRC there’s one truly great example of guitar delay near the beginning of the 7“ of new order’s ”temptation“, which isn’t repeated at any point again throughout the song. but my memory could be playing tricks on me. i’ll dig it out and check.

Has it got stereo out (2 1/4“ jacks)? If so, the best use for it is in a feedback loop. At the moment I’ve got a cheapy Behringer one running into a ring modulator on output one, back though the input then out to a desk on out 2. You may kill the input over time doing this though...

But, off the top of my head this thread makes me think of “For Those About To Rock” by AC/DC... oh, and the entire first Glands album, Double Thriller is basically an ode to whatever effect it is, I think it’s delay, and it’s beautiful.
