That song’s okay, but the album is brill. It’s all about “Maxine”/“Where Did My Baby Go”/“Maxine’s Interlude”. Oh, and the first “Again”. Weird how despite being fucking obsessed with that album, this is the first time I noticed there are songs called both “Again” and “Another Again”. But really, this is the most underrated album of the year. It deserves all the platitudes his first one (which wasn’t that great) got, but isn’t getting any attention at all. I’m glad to have someone to BS about this album with, cause as far as I could tell, I was the only one on ILM who’d heard it.

I like the album a lot, too. He’s definitely going deeper this time. I dig the ambivalence of “Stereo” in particular.

My brother got this for me for Christmas, and it’s great. “Stereo,” especially. Is dude totally slept on, or do I just not know any fans besides my brother and my roommate? The first album went platinum, and was like half as good as this one.
