It’s called “Aquarello” and I knew I wasn’t crazy I read about it in Mojo or whatever that other mag was in the store and all you people said I must be remembering a review of the compilation Works or whatever but I kept saying I knew it was a review of a new album but you all thought I was crazy and now I know you were WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG AND I WAS RIGHT. Because in the Tower going-out-of-business sale I found a Roedelius CD called “Aquarello” and that is the one I read about and you all thought I was crazy but you are WRONG WRONG WRONG.

And it sounds like a cross between a few songs off the Moon & The Melodies and the first song on Dif Juz’ “Extractions” album. And that is okay by me.

There was no new album from Roedelius this year. Aquarello was released in 1998.

google is yer fiend.

i saw that at tower too and noticed the 2006 date on it. must be a reissue date as i know i’ve seen copies around for years

But I read something in Mojo...or whatever that other magazine was...

Oh well.

At least I finally found out what it was that I read about. No one even told me that much.

Thanks Martian!

Well, actually I’d assumed it was a Bella Union thing. I found Simon Raymonde’s album “, too and like an idiot didn’t buy it. 2001. The bassist of the Cocteau Twins—what was the name of his album? I think the first track is crap, and ”

Obviously a drunken work in progress. Yeah that Simon Raymonde album you know what I mean. The first track was crap “It’s a Family Thing”. And then “Muscle & Want” was very good but then it had Robyn Guthrie on it too. And in any case, I will start over again with Negativland and sub Cocteaus. Etc.

Also I’d really like to hear some old Sheena Easton about now.
