i have some sad news. this bunch was visited by a groundhog. one was munched halfway and discarded. i saved one small one. two (the big bois) i initially left but bugs invaded the bite marks so i cut them off this morning. they will not make it. such is life!

i did harvest a san marzano this morning before it became a snack

i have harvested about 70 san marzanos! and will probably get about 20 more. plants are kind of blighted now so we may be nearing the end.

i am learning about insects i never knew existed. mexican bean beetles. squash bugs. cabbage moths. :(((

that’s a good haul, though! i have never had any luck growing tomatos.
