well here’s a something or other. after i post sucessfully i get this:

Thanks... What it looks like is something specific to your work, in that we don’t have a proxy at the moment at all at ILX; you’re connecting directly to the Tomcat server. We will have, in the next few days, just so as you don’t have to connect on port 8090 and f*** up your login to normal ILX.

Nonetheless, this is strange. What I do know, is that recently, my work has blacklisted ILX. Probably because it is a popular website. What’s weird is that you’ve been able to read but an odd error when you post. If you get any more info, can you post, please?

okay, yeah, i guess it only happens when i type the post without being logged in. when i click submit post i’m taken to the login page, but when i submit my login i get the following:

Ha, Nu Shooz—yeah the old IE thing has a number of things that are a problem. Even IE8 has some stylesheet issues with the menu bar at the top when you scrunch it up, that I’ve not been able to figure out. Maybe someone who knows more about stylesheets can help.

OK, I can see what the problem is, but not right sure what to do about it now! I’ll have a think.

Hmm. This is a real puzzle. Basically it used to work and it doesn’t now, and I’ve not changed anything in that area, because it’s controlled by the web server. I wonder if it’s a web server bug. Maybe I’ll just force users to log in before they type any text for now, until I can figure out what’s going on. Basically, it’s failing to pass any of the information you entered through, if there’s a login page in the way... Very confusing though.
