WARSAW—Zaha Hadid is designing a 790-foot residential skyscraper to be built in downtown Warsaw, the New York Times reports via Agence France-Presse. The starchitect unveiled her plans for Lilium Tower, which will be a sleek, glass-covered building with a fleur-de-lis motif and 1.1 million square feet of floor space, on Wednesday. The building will house apartments and a condominium hotel, as well as commercial and recreational facilities. It is expected to be completed by 2012.

Currently under construction in the Polish capital are a residential building designed by Daniel Libeskind and a commercial center adjacent to the National Opera, designed by Norman Foster.
