haha

lol i forgot about that part.

happy mother’s day.

my mom is SMART. good politics. v v liberal. good for her, huh?!

on the other hand, i am ready to go home now.

i just made dirt pizza with the little neighbor girl who calls me “miss gigglebox” but then suddenly it was a birthday cake and it was my birthday and i wished for a flower to put in my hair and guess what? my wish came true!

o_O at sneaking out to smoke, hiding ashes under rocks and pinecones, etc.

i just made dirt pizza

lol vegetarian

home home home is so wonderful to be home

150 for “gas” btw

hey guess what

i hung out with my mom this weekend

she gave me a weed lollipop

!!

lxy’s gonna teach her mom about dance music this weekend

i’m kind of irritated :(

aw jeez

i hung out with max’s mom this weekend

we tried out the dance-electronica section of on-demand videos during supper. it was a weird list to choose from. we listened to cut copy and daft punk, which were the best options available, but wouldn’t have been my first picks for an introduction to dance music.

ay yi yi yi ... hi!

my parents have a secret bathroom that has an orange sink.

my mom’s helping me search online for LARGE (room sized) PAPER b/c of a dream i had. the closest we can come is 36“ x 1000’ but that’s pretty good for 60 bux.

it’s weird that there aren’t any wider. i ran into this before

i might sleep outside at the lake tomorrow though

daniel’s hot sister is bringing her boyfriend. sad times. my mom described him as “a grown-up skater type” so raise an eyebrow to that, people.

i have gotten out of watching What Not To Wear

there is a merciful god somewhere

time to price the yard sale goods. which is least likely to sell: the vcr, the printer, or the typewriter? all of them work.

vcr

i would buy a typewriter

would you like to buy a typewriter? it works. and it has 2 extra ribbons

post pix

plz

YARD SALE

haven’t sold shit

printer SOLD wtf

vcr’s broken it turns out. somebody wanted to buy it

back to the basement for the typewriter

this is fascinating

is it over already?

typewriter will sell to BIG HOOS-in-highschool-style wannabe kerouacs

and lxy too apparently

daniel’s hot sister

i hadn’t seen her in 4 years and she is 180 lbs now, she confided to my mom. all boobs and butt. what an amazing curve of womanhood to her. still with the beautiful face.

is bringing her boyfriend

who was totally baked at the funeral

what an amazing curve of womanhood to her

i heard a rattlesnake whilst hiking

met a cutie at the yard sale

got food poisoning

you have to love a woman that sings Devo with no prompting

“new kids in the hall”

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯A month passes⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

yesterday my dad totally called me out on never answering the phone

he felt better after learning i never ever answer the phone, not just when it’s him calling

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯Two weeks pass⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

i was talking to my mom about a clothing catalog i used to look at called “girlfriends” which had cute stuff for teenagers so she looked online but couldn’t find their website so i looked and instead came across some lesbian stuff that made me blush and i said NEVERMIND NEVERMIND NEVERMIND and then she told my dad and then my dad said he couldn’t talk to me because he had to go look it up for himself.

lxy u dont strike me as the blushing type

hmmm

I have a little conundrum about Carrie. She says she can’t afford to buy anyone presents (because she went and bought a big-ass horse trailer)

mom: can’t wait to see you’what do you want to drink?

<3

aw

evening with my aunt (and uncle)

i love her (and him)

when i was little (<6) they came to visit, and my sister and i were displaced so they could sleep in our room. when they left i was really sad. but in the wastebasket there was a tissue my aunt had used to blot her lipstick. also it smelled like her perfume.

i intended to cherish it because it was a little bit of her that remained behind, but for some reason my sister derided me and crumpled it up.

she still smells the same xoxox ::::))))

also i had a madcrazy crush on my uncle because he was so handsome and nice.

biological uncle?

aw hey it doesn’t matter when you’re so little it’s mostly just “I want to sit next to UNCLE CHRIS,” but no, not a blood relation.

sweet stories, thank you

i have an uncle chris too

i have an aunt chris and an uncle chris. they are married but not really.

oh yeah and:

she told how she never remembers which kind of scotch she likes best but her son does, so he gives her a bottle every birthday, acting like it’ll last her till her next birthday. then she did her signature “yeah right” scoff-laugh and we lolled a lot.

<3<3 she had 2 johnny walker black on the rocks. <3<3

i don’t think she is any more, but she was once an inveterate secret smoker.

(information received from her daughter, also a secret smoker)

they sound <3 but not very successful at being secretive.

well, they are also both inveterate talkers

that doesn’t run in your family, does it?

my dad, on voicemail:

hi. just calling to tell you two things. one, your hat is in the mail. two, we’re having barackolli for supper. bye.

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯A month passes⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

she’s doing pretty well, it seems like. too bad some boring lady is downstairs, i wanna eat hot apple pie!

young cousin daniel made an appearance. we talked about theatre and daft punk and living in the middle of nowhere. i invited him to spend the night if he ever comes to seattle

one of the valentine trinkets my dad bought was a rainbow-heart.

so gay. so funny. so very cute.

i’m sure he has no idea whatsoever.

i’m gonna send it to tehresa since she was a fan of the heart drawer.

well that’s thoughtful

(we should probably be glad we don’t have a ‘weekend with my step-mother thread. there’d be too much vitriol)

hi from my dad’s computer.

sometimes the mouse doesn’t work.

gotta ask about the wireless password.

hi from netbook

made my ma turn off rod stewart lol

on the stereo?? or tv

tv. so i had to see him for a sec, too. gross.

haha heard the entire plots of two books so far this morning.

i just am not in the right frame of mind to converse, so she’s doing her best to converse for both of us, god love her.

haha wrong thread. click on that though, tell me what it is, if it’s a good enough joke to go on the other thread

blank page? the name of the link is funny though.

it’s not funny if no one ever tells me the real name

it’s kinda fucked up to be able to hear my mom talking to people (neighbor, sister) about me

we watched the mariners game —they lost— then i fell asleep during a live performance of romeo and juliet by the nyc ballet at lincoln center. leslie stahl interviewed the correographer, petet martins, during the intermission; she was really stupid, her questions were terrible. the guy was impatient with her but she was too dumb to notice.

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯Ten months pass⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

she kicked my ass at some facebook word game. we set it up on two computers and hollered GO and off she went

also we dyed eggs and commiserated about how we suck at dying eggs

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯Seven months pass⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

funny memory: at the gathering before my grandmother’s funeral, in the midst of the somber murmers and quiet conversations, my mother burst out happily and loudly, “IT’S DOODLE!”

“doodle” was the nickname of one of my mom’s girlhood friends, who had shown up unannounced because she had seen my grandmother’s obituary. she and my mom hadn’t seen one another for maybe 40 years.

it makes me laugh every time i think of it. IT’S DOODLE!

:)
