that paul simon song isn’t bad. my mom was playing stuff off of graceland the last time i was down there and it sounded pretty good! i’d never heard it before.

haven’t heard it but i like the other terje dubs i’ve heard so probably it is good.
that song gets into my head for weeks and weeks on end when i hear it; that’s the main reason i don’t want to hear it in my market.

i figured out my problem with “diamonds on the soles of her shoes” and this is it:
when i hear that song, or even just think of it, i get fucking “you can call me al” stuck in my head! THE WRONG SONG in my head, for ages ages like months i mean. see, how annoying is that?
except i also realized (recently) that the lyrics playing endlessly in my head have morphed into:

etc.
so now i like it better.
