2day i finished job

and had last class

and i am moving in 18 dayssssssss

go forth, trouble child

i am excited but i feel like i am in permanent weekend mode until august. this is gonna be hard. i’m just gonna go to the movies and drink beers with the cat all the time instead of studying and studying is important this time :((((((

so not gonna be ready in 13 days

wow, i have a lot to do!

i keep trying to pack things and my apartment gets more and more covered with random junk to trip on. a lot of boxes in the hallway though! eeeeeeee

lol i went on this cleaning binge and threw out all my boxes like 2 months ago! oops.

perhaps this will inspire me to get rid of more stuff, though :D

someone promised to bring me boxes a few weeks ago and keeps forgetting and i am mad

what a jerk i would call bullshit on them if i were u

seattle: would i hate living downtownish?

see also: 20th ave @ e. jefferson.

wait i lied wrong listing. wallingford, near 45th is what i want to know about.

downtown would be great. there is a dearth of nearby grocery stores but the resourceful should have no problems

i know u retracted 20th/jefferson but to guve u an out line i would say uhh mostly. only if it’s cheap would it be an okay neighborhood

i love wallingford. it’s a nice very seattle area, close to everything and picturesque as hell

wallingford place is super cheap but also comes with 2 22-year old girl roommates.

only for the summer, though, so maybe i could deal?

eesh i want my own place, but maybe not til i’m settled?

plz stop to think of other people and the comic thread possibilities they might enjoy

*SiGh*

*9 days*

i found a $20 bill while i was packing stuff!

blargh i need like 4 more boxes and i could be pretty much done

i posted a housing wanted ad and already have 7 responses, but it seems like they take a lot more work to get details/info out of.

yeah, i tried that when i was looking for a sublet last summer but it was annoying. people can’t understand what you want so i got a bunch of responses from people who had rooms in complexes in the suburbs and also from crepey dudes with a spare bedroom in their condo. eventually i found a place w/ roommates and they were nice people but it made me really swear to never have a roommate again!!!!

like the one that was there the most was really mom-like and always calling me to see where i was if i stayed out too late

yeah part of my desire to move is a desire to not have to have roommates anymore! i mean, if i have to for a while, fine. but @(*#. this one lady has a reasonably priced ‘mother-in-law’ apartment but like, i don’t know if i’m comfortable living in the same house as landlord. it’s weird.

oh i think those are the best kind of landlords though! if they live in the house they have some stake in it other than collecting rent.

i don’t like living nextdoor to the landlords

yeah but i feel like i’d be living with my mom or something and be all nervous about things.

ehhhh i dunno. my landlord used to live on the next block until his washing machine exploded and he moved to his other house. i wouldn’t mind if he lived downstairs, he is a cool dude. but i dunno. true she could be the kind that makes sure you don’t bring boys home.

i dunno i dunno

i think the majority of mature adults would not bother you or treat you like their child and you should give it a try!

she is a bit older, so i worry baout this no boys thing. someone actually wrote me and said ‘no overnight guests’ lol.

my old landlady used to live on the 1st floor (we were on 3) and she was INSANE. i used to have paranoid nightmares about her.

the landlord of my last apt. building also lived there. it’s a mixed bag, she was on top of repairs but she was also crazy and kinda racist

ok maybe you are right

the no overnight guests thing shouldn’t be legal. i ran across that a bunch of times when i was looking argh

our landlords mow are lawn and do the weeding, which is good since neither of us would ever do it, but they still live next door. good and bad, ya

also wld be a shared kitchen so i would probably see her more than i wanted to.

i had some awesome landlords once that blew our leaves and hired someone to plow our driveway. they were amazing. they even gave stocked the apartment with a george foreman grill and vacuum cleaner when i moved in!

we had like 20 sq ft of lawn but my neighbor dug it up. he lets us do whatever we want all the time! i gave the bushes a haircut.

oh shared kitchen would suck ok

that was one thing i really hated last summer—i felt like i couldn’t ever make a mess and never wanted to be in there. also someone kept using my butter.

>_<

lol @ survivinggrady.com

i guess he really is dead ;_;

i am so jealous of grady’s life*sigh*

i got 4 boise paper boxes from the library :)

thank god for idaho

i can’t concentrate on anything school-related because i am thinking baout moving :((((((((

i thought you were done with school!

no i have an exam tomorrow and a paper to write this weekend and an 8-hour take-home exam wednesday

oh, dang.

i am all done!

things that are not scary:

opportunity!

new freshness!

unlimited possibility!

things that are scary:

jobs

housing

not knowing people and my tendency to slip into hermit ways

not knowing people

EXCUSE ME

yeah hermiting, i do that even when i do know people!

i dunno maybe it is time to turn over a new leaf and not hermit though rite. my problem is it is hard to find someone who hates as many things as i do

that sounded hateful

actually last year when i was there i did see lots of things and had fun but i also hermited because i did not know people and being in a place not-permanently makes me feel weird. i never wanted to do anything and i was always tired and stuff. i hope i have not already established a hermiting pattern there.

i don’t really hate everything btw i just only like certain types of things

hah yeah i know lots of ppl here but i kinda hate a lot of em or am maybe just sick of them.

i should turn a new leaf! i am already excited about walking up hills and hiking and enjoying a city that is actually pretty so maybe that will inspire me to be more social?

also jergins weren’t you threatening to leave? (feel free to delete that if it’s not public record type shit)

where’s jergins going?

i am afraid of annoying people too :(

i am applying for my very own apartment!

not a sublet!

nervous.gif!

!

something that is interesting about moving, especially to a place where you haven’t spent much time (when i moved here i had spent a total of 5 days here over 2 visits in 3 years), is weird spatial orientation stuff. like when you have no internal compass or sense of distance and you get lost or feel like everywhere you are walking is like being an explorer. like omg what could be around this corner?!?! when you stop getting that that’s when stuff starts being boring imo.

i read half of a book about this once but i returned it to the library because it was so obvious

good luck movers.

thank u estela

my job is interfering with my apartment application filling outing! wth.

ugh :(

what

thissuxxxxxxxxx

are you on the bus?

no

oh. sorry.

i don’t wanna move!

troubled child

aww. i feel sorry you are moving and schooling simultaneously.

i look forward to 2 weeks of unemployment in which to pack/consolidate.

i sent apartment application! fingers crossed!

i hope i am not making a horrible mistake!

yeah i don’t know what i was thinking at all

i am troubled ;_;

when u are locking up pimps and prostitutes this will all be worthwhile

no she’s gonna get them off

i hope it’s better to forget one’s own jokes than repeat them. that’s what i’ll tell myself.

weird spatial orientation stuff. like when you have no internal compass or sense of distance and you get lost or feel like everywhere you are walking is like being an explorer. like omg what could be around this corner?

this is what makes traveling so great. i love to walk and walkwhen i first get somewhere. i got to walk around spokane and even that town dead of winter had so much going: alleyways and odd graffiti businesses where u don’t expect them.

it does get boring in the same place, knowing what’s around every corner. i walk approx 4 different routes to work and the only thing that breaks it up are the people on the street. today i saw a guy with a t-shirt that said PUSSY HOUND on it, big, and was thankful 4 him.

where’s jergins going?

not sure yet. here are the top candidates: south pacific, buenos aires, vientiane, luxembourg, marfa, baja

jergins weren’t you threatening to leave?

no threats, public promises

man see u

buenos aires probably gonna be real unstable soon, but maybe that’s the attraction?

send post cards plz

why does jergins hate america

it’s not america; it’s just us.

in the future, there will be l& board.

it is almost moving day

thread of loving the world too much!!

i am considering not studying anymore for exam good idea or bad. like i just wanna get other stuff done instead.

why is buenos aires gonna be unstable (again)

stop studying you won’t learn anything new now.

yeah i didn’t actually *start* studying but it’s ok

it’s take-home though, right? you will be fiiiiiiiiiiiine.

yeah i looked at the old exams (which were 48 hours instead of 8) and i was like ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

guess papers?

^^^why this lady’s runnin the joint!
