the original is a bit naff and misleading (ha ha) but at least it says it in big letters.

it was originally made by me as an actual logo (along with many others on a thread about that, started by me, years ago) but gr4h4m decided to adopt it as the favicon.

I think you should stick with just two or three colours or you can’t make out what it is. See xpost.

it should automatically happen when you bookmark that domain or website’s index page

(the browser requests it from the server. if the browser doesn’t support it or the server doesn’t have one then you won’t see it. firefox regularly messes up the ones i have in my bookmarks list, especially the bbc ones:

Firefox on my home pc actually sees all favicons, its IE that seems to throw a wobbler with them. It doesn’t see hardly any.

ask Beth to spell out I L and X with yellow stones on her scanner and scale that pic down to 16x16 ?
