That Leicester squad that went down in 2004 seems to have pretty much the full set of Premiership journeymen. Paul Dickov, Les Ferdinand, Keith Gillespie, Andy Impey, Marcus Bent, Steve Howey, Ben Thatcher (a future contender surely?), Brian Deane and Ian Walker. Can anyone beat that lot?

Fowler’s first season was 93/94, his debut match was a 1–0 loss to Chelsea.

Nope it’s neither Parlour nor Ehiogu. It’s a guy who is still playing regularly in the Premiership

Ehiogu only played once for Boro this season and it was a cup game.

West Ham went down in 02–03 and spent two seasons in the Championship. Pearce went to Fulham halfway through 03–04 season so he looks like a winner.

Anyone know when Sol Campbell made his Spurs debut? I could have sworn he played against us in around 1989 as a 17/18 yr old. He may have even scored against us.

Sol Campbell’s top flight debut was in a 2–1 loss to Chelsea on December 5th, 1992.

Actually David James did spent some time with West Ham in Division 1—don’t you remember there was all that fuss about whether or not he’d be sharp enough to play for England etc? Can’t remember if he spent the whole season in the Championship though—I think he went to Man City in the transfer window?

I think 6 is the record. Sheringham nearly moved in Janury, according to lots of rumours. I think he should have, just to make the seven before retiring.

Andy Cole looks like the best chance of anyone hitting the seven though, I’m sure ‘arry can wheel/deal/spiel him to some poor sap of a team who get promoted this season.

Shipperley was the name I was rooting around for and couldn’t quite remember. Then again he’s played for a lot of yo-yo teams and has gone up and down a division a few times.

Chelsea—Southampton—Palace—Forest—Barnsley—Wimbledon—Sheffield United. Pretty sure Wimbledon were out of the top flight at the time, possibly a few of the others as well.
