Lately, when I’m brushing my upper back molars, I often nearly gag, which never happened before. It happens more often in the morning, right after I’ve had my microwaved soy milk (which has also been tasting off after being nuked, even if I’ve opened a new carton) — I don’t have quite as violent a gag reaction after dinner (which also includes same nuked soy milk), maybe because I usually floss before brushing and flossing gives the food time to settle in my stomach, and almost no such reaction at work (no soy milk, I wash out my bowls first, but also different toothbrush with a larger head). So: what is wrong with me?
acid reflux
I don’t get acid reflux. I’ve been drinking microwaved soy milk for a while before this has started happening.
Stop brushing your teeth if it’s such a problem, then.
xpost, dude I don’t know. Do I look like a dentist?
Thanks for sharing your suggestions.
youre pregnant
i puke almost everytime i brush my teeth. makes teeth brushing a futile 30 minute waste of everything
As a matter of fact you do like a dentist Sam, though not an ENT Dr., which would, I’d imagine, have nothing to do with acid reflux or my problem.
xpost OMG you’re right
wow, I had no idea I was rocking the dentist look. esp since I haven’t been to one in years!
I was actually half-serious about the acid reflux thing. it can sneak up on you unexpectedly making previously innocuous foods inedible!
im with sam on this. thats what mines is really preggo >> acid reflux >> PUKE
or maybe you bought a stupidly big toothbrush and its hitting the back of your throat.
The toothbrush that I have a problem with is the SMALLER one actually, which would, at a guess, be easier to go further back in the throat. Whatever the case, I’m pretty sure that I’m not actually making contact with the back of my thoat.
I will go speak with my fertility doctor, Dr. Juliet Burke.
Ever since I started using a sonicare toothbrush, I get the same reaction but since I brush my teeth in the shower in the mornings, at least, I just allow myself to drool.
