Well that is a bunch of crap, the reason why everyone likes Robbie Williams is because he’s constantly blown out of his mind enough to do things like this.

Wow. That song is far worse than I remember.

I don’t think Robbie getting sober will change the fact that deep down, he is truly mental. In a good, entertaining way though. What I do find amusing are all the insinuations that Take That are overtaking him...does anyone but the tabloids really believe that?

I think Robbie’s bubble has burst a bit, and Take That are riding high on a wave of nostalgia helped by the fact that they aren’t displaying their need for therapy in public. Right now, I think Take That probably are doing better. They’re winning this bit of the battle right now (in the UK at least), but I think Robbie wins the war.

I think the best thing Robbie Williams can do right now, for himself personally and for Robbie Williams TM, is get the hell out of the public eye. Public rehab and therapy by chat show has worn his “oh love me love me I’m mad” schtick right down (and I’m not saying his problems are a schtick in themselves, but the way he grasps for attention and adulation whilst publicly trying to prove his ability to overcome them + simultaneously dine out on them is)

I disagree with Ailsa, what’s actually happened is that the Take That revival has made Robbie wholly redundant among his core market and the kids no longer give the slightest shit who he is. Frankly, if Take That continue to ride the nostalgia wave and clean up over the next couple of years he’s lost out bigstyle.

Surely nobody was buying Robbie Williams singles out of Take That nostalgia?

Very few pop stars can stay on top of their game for an entire decade. Even Madonna having an equivalent sales slump around 93/94.
