I have four of these “Extra Thin” non-latex special condoms we decided to try with a girl I was going out with a while ago. It turned out that them being non-latex meant that they don’t stretch at all, which is a bit, er, unwieldy. They were pretty expensive too, maybe if I meet someone with a latez allergy I can donate them to her.

Ms Misery correct

They used to have this specialized condom shop in Helsinki where you could buy different condoms one by one, like sweets. I wish they still had it, you wouldn’t have to buy a whole package just to test some new brand then.

the royal we?

No, me and the girl.

monogamy rules.

Sometimes, I think that women hate condoms more than men do. It’s as if a condom makes them feel like their partner feels they’re dirty.

We were out shopping together.

(x-post)

For some reason I’ve never thrown out unused condoms past their expiration date. I have some dating back to 1983, so I opened one up just now and blew it up to see if the latex was brittle. I blew it up to about a foot in diameter and then quit. (I hate balloons blowing up in my face.)

i have a bunch. I get them in batches from my friend’s mum (she is a sex nurse)

Maybe a better question would be “how many used condoms do you have?”

Maybe a better question would be “what can you tell us about sex nurses?”

zero. celibate.

“what can you tell us about sex nurses?”

She is pleasantly spoken and once she baked me a pizza.

I think I still have some in a box somewhere. But yeah, monogamy is grebt.

best chat up line ever

If ur gay, condoms are like cigarettes. You hit the other guy up for one and it always seems he has some handy.

Sometimes, I think that women hate condoms more than men do. It’s as if a condom makes them feel like their partner feels they’re dirty.

Women are not crazy about condoms, no, but that’s not the reason.

Not that any woman will ever visit this thread again after ass_slap.gif.

Can that guy in the pic not close his mouth? Sheesh.

I have none. I’m married and quite faithful.

Less than I did before the weekend, hurrah!

So ytou masturbate with a condom? No need, no need, John. ;-)

(xxpost) There’s a guy in that pic? OMG you’re right!

some real men in this thred

Although I’m in a monogamous, long-term relationship, we still use condoms most of the time as a form of birth-control (she uses the pill to regulate period pains more than as contraception, and comes off it every few months for a month or too—plus added peace of mind). So we generally have a couple of boxes around. However, I have a hunch that right now we have only about 1 or 2 left.

22! (over-optimistic post-partum purchase)

It’s been about five years since I last had occasion to use a condom, they’re yucky aren’t they?

They are yucky. They smell like dettox and get your hands covered in goo before you start, and not fun goo either. You feel like you’re about to perform open heart surgery.

Mind you, beats the alternatives (WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!)

I was slightly surprised to discover that many people, who are married, used it as birth control. I always figured it was more something for single people. Guess I’m dumb. :-) I just don’t like it on a regular basis.

I pretty much hate them, but Emma wants the security. What’s a guy to do.

Oh yeah—CASTRATE MYSELF.

damn people be phobic.

Phobic of what? Condoms are unpleasant. Unplanned pregnancies are unpleasant. Sex is pleasant. You pays your money you takes your choice.

You feel like you’re about to perform open heart surgery.

rly? condoms are a lot less unpleasant than unplanned pregnancies. also the pill is not for everyone.

It doesn’t work on men for a start.

During one of our girly drinking session band meeting things, we all had a group “what’s in your purse?” dumpout activity. One of my bandmates was shocked by how out of date the condoms I was still carrying around in them was. So she swapped them for more current ones, saying that it was a “good luck” thing or something.

Now those are about to expire.

Gee, celibacy is great, isn’t it?

I absolutely cannot do the pill, it wrecks havoc with my manic depression—even in LTR’s I’ve always used condoms.

I’m not saying that condoms are less good than unplanned pregnancies or catching squeamish diseases, it’s just that they’re . . . well, yucky is the best word for it, I think.

I have a stupidly sensitive stomach and throw up quite frequently. This means the pill wouldn’t be especially effective with me and I can’t face the idea of any of the other kinds of birth control, so condoms it is. I currently have 16 (Superdrug two-for-one offer on Mates Sheer).

I get depressed looking at them for too long.

One is “mesh”

huh? for those occasions when you want none of the protection but all of the aggravation of a regular condom?

Four.
