They caught the two guys who robbed us. They hit five other apartments in the same building, and were all over the security tapes.

We just came from the police station, where we signed affidavits as to what was taken, and its approximate value (about 2 grand!!!). If the charges are pressed and this goes to trial, we may see that money back.

I don’t care so much about the money. I’m just glad that they nailed those two.

I’m more amazed this ever actually happens.

Thus happens more often than you might think. We were burgled a few years ago and the halfwits were caught because they were trying to carry a television across a rooftop (we had a 3 story house so it was about 40 feet up) instead of opening the back door. I once met a burglar who had the word “bastard” tattooed on his forehead, which made him quite...er...easy to identify. Another burglar we knew off was caught having locked himself into the house he was robbing. No-one knew how he’d managed it.

Most of these people are slightly desperate and/or stoned and so take risks that most of us wouldn’t.

Alright Tantrum! Now they just need to catch the guy who keeps defecating in your building’s elevator.

Move already! ;)

You actually have security cameras in your apartment building?

I’m more amazed this ever actually happens.

Me too. I’ve heard nothing but horror stories about the police in this town, but everyone we’ve dealt with has been really helpful.
