republican senator from montana. i just heard about it today. supposedly there were three people on the senate floor who actually heard it. anyway, i just watched the whole thing. the use of the word “criminal” is what has some people harumphing about it. you know, coming from a republican and all. in public.
sorry if there was already a thread! i don’t read every iraq thread.

i mean, he genuinely seems sad. instead of blustery, you know?
of course, most people would say, well, yeah, NOW he says all this after the republicans lost and blah, blah...
he uses the word treasure a lot.
(he’s from oregon, actually.) but yeah, the speech got a little bit of coverage, noted in various media. it seemed pretty heartfelt.
oops, sorry. oregon.
Did the Freepers explode?
probably. at this point i think the freepers are kind of gnawing off each other’s legs or something. i don’t know. the american right wing these days is too sad for me to even peek in on.
“I, for one, am at the end of my rope when it comes to supporting a policy that has our soldiers patrolling the same streets in the same way, being blown up by the same bombs day after day. That is absurd. It may even be criminal. I cannot support that anymore. I believe we need to figure out how to fight the war on terror and to do it right. So either we clear and hold and build, or let’s go home.”

You’re missing out. And 2007’s bright spot amid the real grime and death will be the intellectual internecine warfare.
did sen. tim johnson have any comment?
this senator and now gerald ford from the grave. who will twist the knife next!?
my money’s on Barney
Gordo is not the most right-wing Republican out there, as you might guess from his Oregonianism. He’s especially noted for being strong on gay rights (although he’s not so good with the marriage thing) (but considering he’s a Mormon...).
mormons with salt, and leavening.I think regrets eat people alive even if they have no romantic organs left inside them.If repubiclanz are not moved by body parts, then whats th harm in the war anyways.
Dude apparently had quite a hand in getting Trent Lott restored to repub leadership(over Lamar Alexander).
If anybody has TNR membership(hey blount, you out there?), there’s an extensive bit about it in the latest ish.
