I can’t even think about Precious Moments, one of the years I lived in a college dorm, our whole floor was decorated with PM cut-outs. We conveniently “lost” ours and had to apologize to the organizer but that was preferable to looking at the fucking things.
One of the scariest days at work was when I found out that one of my coworkers apparently used to collect those figurines with his ex-wife. I was assuming it was her thing so I joked that he was happy to get rid of them in the divorce. If only I was right. They apparently became his property, so I asked, “So, you sold them... right?” “Yeah, after I completed the collection.”
