I miss some people from college. And I miss my friend George, but I’m mad at him too because he refuses to pick up the phone, write a letter or send an email — all contact has to be from me to him. And then I visit and he seems so happy and grateful for the contact, and I’m like “wtf dude, the phone line works both ways.”
i miss someone i was friends with very briefly in 2004, he sort of ditched me once he got a girlfriend and i havent seen, or heard from him since.. but today i randomly found an old e-mail from him and he signed it, “Yours forever” — what a liar, but still, i miss him.

I miss one of my closest friends, she’s been living in Amsterdam for a year and half now, the last time she was here was last Christmas, and I’m not even sure if she’s coming here this Christmas.
I also miss this girl I dated a while ago, I’d like to just see her because she was really nice, but if I call her she’ll just think I want to rekindle our relationship. How can I contact her without giving that impression?
I don’t have Myspace, and I don’t think she has either. Besides, I don’t really like electronic communication when you can actually talk to someone.

That “people finders” site is quite good at locating people in the USofA.
I wrote a story called “I Miss My Friends (But Sometimes I Hit London)”.
I guess this is a good place to find them. If you list their names and how you know them, then if they google themselves they’ll find you and try and contact you through here. Though I realise this could be misused. Actually scrap that idea, there may be tears before bedtime.
Friends Reunited located most of the people I went to school with.
It’s sort of reassuring that they’re all still “here” but I’m afraid I’m not overly keen on getting in touch with any of them since it’s never a good idea to revisit/rewrite the past.
I miss friends and I don’t talk to them for ages and then I assume that they’re better off without me so I don’t call them because I figure that they’re probably happier without me contacting them, and it all gets a bit weird.

i recently noticed that an ex deleted her myspace profile sometime in the last six months and i have no way of contacting her at all.
it was kind of like life calling bullshit on me because there have been so many times that i wished she’d just dissapear and i didnt have to know where she was or anything. and now that she has dissapeared, i’m kind of missing her... :(

i saw a bit of ‘serendipity’. it is pretty wronged up. i think cusack might be really bad, on reflection. piven has always been his #2, but he’s more talented?

Serendipity is nice for what it is, but it isn’t one of the best movies ever made or anything. Cusack for me lost whatever awesome appeal he had when High Fidelity came out; I HATED him in that, even though I guess I really just hated the character as written. Man, that was an annoying, endless movie (with maybe 30 min of great moments).
i feel kind of bad for mild beckinsale crush. why feel bad? don’t know.
I thought serendipity was kinda sweet, but then again I’m a sucker for those type of films.
Tuomas I was being kind of flip about Battle Royale but it seriously is a very good, very romantic comedy...only with lots of violence.
Serendipity was watchable for Cusack and Piven and whathisname dude that played the store clerk guy. The whole premise that dull old Kate Beckinsale is worth all that shit is kinda wrong though.
(Serendipity 2: where they find out that their idealised future—based on seven years of building up and romanticising a couple of hours that they can barely remember—is total bullshit, now *that* I would watch)

We watched about twenty minutes of Serendipity and would have watched more if it had been a film about Kate Beckinsale being charmed away from John Cusack by LARS and HIS MAGIC FLUTE, and John Cusack not being able to understand it and running around going “can no-one else see how wrong this is????”
But it wasn’t, so we turned it off and went to bed.
God, yeah, John Corbett + even worse hair than usual + inexplicably popular dullsville old East European flute band = teh rofflez.
I’ve been off Beckinsale since she got her fake tits.
beckinsale is soooo boring
