To start a gang the leader needs to be at least level 30 and have 500 points to pay for the gang. The gang is then started and the fun can begin. Gangs have levels just like hobos do. When a gang first starts, it is at level 1. At this level a gang does not yet have the one main attribute that makes gangs so great. It does not have an Armory

Remember to walk around the city in each 12 hour part of the game, that way you pick up money, food, cans(sell cans at the depo for cash).
You can do this every 12 hour period.

go to the casino if you have any cash (tip whenever you have cash bank it straight away)
If you have enough money (say $1000) go to the casino and play the $100 a line game. You will lose initially but you should win a few times in say 10 goes so that you get more and if you use your 50 goes in 12 hours you should make a few grand.
Dont waste time on the cheaper slot machines. I usually use the cash i made exploring and selling cans and go to the casino.
Remember to bank if you win a lot. just keep enough to keep you going on the casino. If you carry $1000 you might lose $500 in a fight.
i got to level two! i’m wondering about fighting though—initially i was gaining 50 respect every time i got in a hobo fight and now i’m losing it (though i’m winning the fights).
To win respect you have to fight someone with—respect(in red)
dont fight the green ones.

how do you know how much you need to increase your stats before you reach the next level? or do stats have nothing to do with levels?
To move up a level you have to win fights against other hobos.
