i read chuck negrons autobiography a few years ago. He’s a sleazeball junkie. Maybe he’s cleaned up by now, but Jesus I really get tired of reading rock biographies where the entire thing is a big written excuse for them being a total asshole while they were addicted to junk...Scar Tissue about Anthony Kiedis was the same crap, but it even pissed me off more, becasue by the 80s people should have been smart enough to realize drugs are a dead end. back in the late 60s/early 70s when Negron got hooked, drugs were still a bit glamorized...
