i don’t think this is true. and if it is, it was because he was on the verge of being SB’d
i was ambivalent toward SB before that but when a prominent, likeable, and ultimately harmless (not to mention severely depressed) poster was SB’d, mentioned to at least one poster via email that being banned deeply upset him, and eventually killed himself, that was pretty much the turning point for me.
i’m not saying SB directly led to bimble’s suicide. but i couldn’t remember whether i was one of those 51 people or not, and i still feel like absolute dogshit to think i could have had something to do with it

nah, we’re low on CPU usage. We get through a tonne of data. Tbf, some of those days I didn’t have compression on so it was the full effect, but even at that it’s barely 80k for a page and all the JS/stylesheets (if your browser hasn’t cached them)
