WTF @ UNKNOWN PLEASURES BRONY T-SHIRT

I feel sorry for the people who click on that thread and see all the pony and pound puppies talk, it’s all my fault.

I am buying that for you and Ned this xmas.

mind has melted

Just check out the astounding array of brony shirts here.

omg are these the my little pony dudes again

DAN, YOU LOVE THEM

I seriously cannot believe this shit is not only still going on but has proliferated to the degree it has

E, I just discovered about 15 minutes ago that there is a thing called a “brohoof”, obv this requires discussion

To be fair the cartoon is funny and super cute, and if you liked the powerpuff girls you would probably like it?

I would have never watched it though if I didn’t have a little girl who loves ponies, though.

I am sick at heart that I even know what BRONY refers to. I blame ilx.

I would have never watched it though if I didn’t have a little girl who loves ponies, though.

this is kind of U+K

I mean, I did watch PPG from time to time but I wasn’t, like, buying MERCH and calling myself a “Powerpuff Pal”

xp: omg lol

it is really too bad that BRONY RAGE shirt doesn’t have lyrics from “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” on it

“brohoof”, obv this requires discussion

WHAT IS IT?!

it is a fistbump, between BRONIES

they are BUMPING HOOVES

bring the nukes IMO

everyones so lonely

also I have to copy this over from the Community thread:

I am sick at heart that I even know what BRONY refers to. I blame ilx.

I just realized this was a thing. I also just realized there is a “new” My Little Pony cartoon. I feel like Dan Harmon pitching Pierce-as-Cookie-Crisp-Wizard to a writers’ room full of younguns who only know the burglar as the Cookie Crisp mascot.

hahahahahahahahahahaha are you trying to kill me ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

do they make My Little Pony brorettes, that bronies can put on the ends of their bronytails?

One more time

i am no longer buying the “oh, my daughter watches these shows” rationale

yeah the brony thing is crazy...there’s a whole brony community on the website that i work for...had no idea until recently what it was

OMG THAT SONG

Also

everyones so lonely

at least they have each other, i guess?

o_O

I am buying that for you and Ned this xmas.

After the Joy Division Mickey Mouse shirt I’m resigned to being blase.

I have no doubt that MLP is done well and all, I just can’t believe that there are guys out there willing to call themselves bronies who give each other brohoofs

it’s like, if this isn’t the bullet train to furry/plushiedom, I don’t know what is

yah i googled this cuz why not and the one article i read abt its genesis was all abt this like unemployed programmer in his 30s whos just, obv p sad and lonely and in search of purpose and i guess the internet is just a wasteland of unhappiness and ppl still need each other

only connect over fantasy ponies

I guess maybe I wouldn’t be as harsh on this if I a) was single; and b) had never seen the episode of Real Sex that featured ponyplay

Although I’ve known about it for a while I’ve never actually Googled it because this is exactly the kind of rabbit hole I’d fall down and find myself 6 hours later reading the archives of some Brony messageboard and knowing all the reg players names, stories, etc. I’m too caught up with the Twimoms as it is.

YOU SHUT UP ABOUT THAT REAL SEX EPISODE I NEVER EVER NEEDED TO BE REMINDED OF IT

Wait, you fanstalk Twimoms?

haha the brohoof youtube has a link to buy the album “ready fur the world” on itunes

i can’t belief a rapper said “call me twilight sparkle” and it wasn’t drake

Oh God, I can totally see them dressed up in leather trotting around that little corral. DJP YOU ARE THE WORST.

Wait, you fanstalk Twimoms?

― Ned Raggett, Monday, December 5, 2011 3:33 PM (18 seconds ago) Bookmark Permalink

Well, no. I was exaggerating. I have spent more than one evening on their msgbrd marveling at their complete insanity and more than one evening is way more than enough imo.

Latly I’m into true crime stuff and reading about unsolved missing persons cases for hours on end but who knows? It very could well be these dudes next.

Are there any missing Bronies?

what is a “twimom”?

I’m just waiting for the ENBB reality series where she tracks down missing fantypes of all genres.

I have seen a lot of perplexing things on Real Sex but I never thought anything could out-weird the clown sex/sploshing episode until they did the ponyplay one

also this killed me: i can’t belief a rapper said “call me twilight sparkle” and it wasn’t drake

Well if ILX were working I would link you to Mandee’s (?) superb thread on the topic. Basically they’re ladies who claim to have gotten into Twilight because of their kids but are now as or often even more obsessed with the whole thing. They’re totally nuts. A lot of them write about how they pretend they’re fucking Edward while they’re fucking their husbands and stuff. It’s sort of mind-blowing.

oh that was x-post to Sarahel

Robert P., pleasuring the moms of America coast to coast.

were the clowns sploshing, or were they separate?

you know what those twimoms need, is a nice, caring brony

OK I found this one literally two clicks into the twimoms.com forums:

http://forum.twilightmoms.com/showthread.php?63846-Another-Newborn-has-emerged

just . . . yeah

were the clowns sploshing, or were they separate?

There was a separate sploshing episode but the clowns were definitely sploshing (sitting in cream pies etc) (actual cream pies, not “cream pies”). IIRC there was a clown girl who said the immortal quote “WHENEVER I SEE A PIE, I JUST WANNA PUT MY ASS IN IT” which I bet makes her a big hit at Thanksgiving

(lol either Ally or I made that exact joke on old-ILX come to think of it)

i can’t belief a rapper said “call me twilight sparkle” and it wasn’t drake

brb lol’ing forever

there used to be an art gallery in SF that paid its rent by hosting sploshing parties.

OK I somehow missed the clown ep and I don’t know what sploshing is though I think I maybe just worked it out for myself.

Real Sex was fantastic at making you think sex is a terrible, terrible thing in The Wrong Hands

they really like those frames-within-frames sig files over there.

xpost — Well, yeah.

I started watching Real Sex at way too young an age and it gave me some really weird ideas about what sex was supposed to be like.

My friend Sarah, who’s quite knowledgeable on the subject of autism, just informed me Bronydom is pretty big in the Aspie community for the show’s “lessons on friendship and theory of mind”.

!!!

Well, the show starts off with a socially awkward nerd pony who doesn’t understand how to make friends so I guess there’s probably a lot to relate to there. xxp

i’ve recently had HBO for last year or so after not having it for years...they still play like THE SAME real sex episodes they played when i was in HS...i almost feel bad like those ppl had no idea they were signing up for 20 years of broadcast

No!!

oh yes, it’s pretty hysterical

Does anyone remember the episode with the group workshop* where couples were being taught how to get “playful” with food that culminated in one woman taking a communal dish of ice cream sprinkles and having her man teabag it? I kept thinking “don’t they have to share that, gross”, also that if you need to take a class in how to be sexy with food you have like ZERO imagination. Real Sex should have been called Real Nightmare Fodder.

* THAT’S ANOTHER THING; why were there so many group workshops featured on that show???????????? Are there seminars for EVERYTHING, like sounding? Yikes

gah I should go back to talking about bronies

brony workshop

if you need to take a class in how to be sexy with food

There’s an Apatow comedy in there somewhere. It can stay there.

I remember one with a seminar about corseting? Might not have been real sex but I’m p sure it was.

why were there so many group workshops featured on that show???????????? Are there seminars for EVERYTHING, like sounding? Yikes

I’m sure there are. Esp. in Boston.

lol I am gonna be looking askance at Hynes Convention Center for a while now

and the SF Bay area — like Boston and SF are the U.S. capitals of nerd sex

fucking nerds, ruining everything

STOP TRYING TO BE MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM AND JUST DO IT

the brohoof song is amazing

Ugh, that was so bad.

I don’t get all of the workshops on this show either. I understand a lot of the episodes are pre-internet porn, but couldn’t the couples have just bought a sex magazine or book and saved themselves the embarrassment?

Exactly:

I mean, I guess I understand that once you’ve broken the workshop/masturbation convention barrier, it’s not much further to sign a waiver to allow yourself to be filmed, but really people let’s think this one through a bit.

It’s like that new show Gigalos, which my wife and I watched one episode of and both went like this: O_O Neither of us has watched another episode because we can’t deal with the fact that these random women hired dudes on a reality show to have sex with them and allowed it to be GRAPHICALLY filmed, like just BARELY on this side of softcore porn.

It’s when I find out about things like this that I regret getting rid of cable.

haha it does the opposite for me

I was joking. Sort of.

may never get another opportunity to have an excuse to post this so I am reposting this just because

I have only seen clips of Gigolos on the Soup, it sounds amazingly bad/hilarious.

why would you bother watching something any less morbidly fascinating?

i never had hbo though, which apparently would have opened my mind to strange and wonderful things

dayo wins everything

I don’t really want to think about it but there’s little doubt in my mind that in some way that show had to have had a very real impact on my developing sexuality given my age at the time and all. See also: sex in the 90s.

Glomp? There’s so much I don’t know about.

To clarify I meant Real Sex and not My Little Ponies even though I’m not sure that necessarily makes it any better. No, actually I’m pretty sure it does.

lol

you realize that i have the phrase, “here she comes now, hey brony brony!” stuck in my head thanks to this thread and mr stephens

my only memory of sex in the 90s (the show, thx) is that lou barlow was emo

and because my brain is kinda dysfunctional, i am contemplating who “she” is in this context ... is it a pony? Is it the listener’s wife or gf from whom he has to hide his brony identity?

He was! He had broken up with his girlfriend Kathleen and was all sad and wearing a Joy Division shirt. Strongo and I have talked about this before—the best part about his appearance was that they never mentioned who he was. He was just a sad dude named “Lou” talking baout things.

and is Billy Idol a fellow Brony? Or is he an omniscient “teen angel” like character?

my only memory of sex in the 90s (the show, thx) is that lou barlow was emo

This is my lasting memory of this as well.

Surely you remember these guys too?

IT WAS A TOY LOVE

jah brony

Or do we have an update on Mr. “His ‘wife’? A horse”?

I am glad that I have never done anything in my life to earn the nickname “Mr. His ‘wife’? A horse.”

more generally i am glad ive never done anything in my life that merits an entry on the fandomwank wiki

IT WAS A TOY LOVE

this was my takeaway from the real world thread on real ilx

holy shit I think I hurt myself laughing at j.lu’s link

No Appreciation for the Stallion Cock

i tried to get TLO roll call to take off on old ilx, but no dice. i think its appeal is too specialized

deviantart style, animes fuckin each other

OMG YOU GUYS a brony is being interviewed on Thunk Tank on WFMU tonight.

http://wfmu.org/playlists/BC

Who wants to flood the comments board with questions for him?

My uh family is concerned about my cousin’s MLP obsession. It’s not like the show is that great, especially compared to stuff like Adventure Time. MLP shirts, facebook profile pic and halloween jackolantern is a bit much for a guy who’s in 10th grade. How’s he gonna pick up girls? He’s gonna have to hook up with Invader Zim fans. Bronyism is a serious problem.

I don’t think it’s funny at all

there are some pretty horrible my little pony conspiracy theories on the internet

links pls

wtf

^^^

I can understand a crazy amount of fandom for a kid’s cartoon but I don’t understand this level of fandom for a show that has unbelieveably contrived plot progression, Barney-like morals at the end of every episode and a lack humor... the only funny bits I’ve seen on this show is when the pink pony spazzes out

I’d compare this show to a comfort blanket needed by damaged bro teens

Though, I’d like to think that I’m wrong. I’d like to think that I’m missing something of value about this show—well something of value to people who aren’t damaged

there used to be an art gallery in SF that paid its rent by hosting sploshing parties.

I got here too late. Damn.

er...carry on :)

this whole thing is the first internet/youth fad that has completely disgusted me.

The dog and burglar are outdated to

I’m kinda proud that I own the bottom three breakfast babies pictured here

I find the new MLP show fun and likeable, but the sheer amount of adulation it gets puzzles me too. Almost every comic book/sci-fi/TV geek forum I visit has worn out several MLP threads already—do people really love the show that much, or is a lot of it due to the unlikelihood of the franchise having geek appeal? Whatever the reason, the buzz has to die down soon.

I did enjoy John de Lancie’s recent appearance as a Q-like villain who created chaos everywhere—needless to say, bronies insisted that he was in fact Q, in another form. JdL was soon wondering what the hell he had gotten himself into.

He’s gonna have to hook up with Invader Zim fans.

dang

whole lotta x-posts

Gigolos is not on this side of softcore, there’s regular dick sightings on there (it became drunken MST3K fodder for us when we saw it OnDemand) and pretty graphic sex. Way beyond cable reality porn/softcore.

It’s clearly all staged, so I assume everyone involved has made porn of some form already.

EVERYONE should watch the episode where one of the man-whores gets paid to keep a cock cage on for SEVERAL DAYS.

haha well like I said, we watched one episode

Steven reminds the guys that they have forgotten his birthday. To make it up to him they take him to a shooting range and then to a go-kart track but he remains morose. Finally they set him up with a regular client of Jimmy’s and, during their session, surprise him with a cake which he then has sex with at the client’s request. Jimmy has an appointment with an executive in her office. Nick experiences some stomach problems so Brace takes him to get a colonic, which Nick does not enjoy.

hahahaha what

I mean how does that even happen

also it is totally unsurprising to me that brony talk would devolve into cake-fucking

Hello Everypony

This was a request from zach, hes a chill dubstep loveing electronic brony and id say i captured that, i like to call it “techno bronystep”

I watched about 3 minutes of this OnDemand and I do not understand bronies even a little bit. Also I think my tv now has cavaties.

in the future, when marketers look at your On Demand history, they will forever know you specifically requested to watch My Little Pony

brony

Mr. Stevenson #2 wrote this on thread The 2011 NOMINATIONS THREAD FOR ILM BROSTEP EOY POLL© on board I Love Music on Dec 8, 2011

is ‘bronystep’ a thing yet

my back has been killing me all weekend so the muffled chortling Al’s post is inducing is super painful

today i started to say to my wife ‘so apparently there is an enthusiastic male following for my little pony’ and she just stopped me with ‘oh yeah i know about the bronies,’ apparently she sees this stuff all over memebase
