In the fair definition of the term, not by some bullshit ‘no but song scored that time so they can’t be’ defence.

i voted

Where’s the ‘No and John Terry is cunt’ option?

they depend on rvp more than just abt any high level tream have depended on a single player since idk maybe roma and totti in 2k7

I assumed “John Terry is a cunt” is implied in all poll options

Well RVI isn’t the best player in the team (Song). Or even the second best (Verm). You could argue he is the most important because he scores a lot but this team can score from anywhere, including full back since Santos came.

So, no. He is an excellent footballer and we are better with him in the team. But without Walcott, Ramsey and Song he wouldn’t be anywhere close to his current form.

You could make a case for Vermaelan as the 1 man though, just through comparing our defensive records with him in and out of the team.

he is so far above the rest of yr team it’s untrue

I rate Song but come on

‘there is a perception that his team has been unadventurous’

that was re villa obv

You guys talk like my opinion is untrue and yr different one is FACT. I would be more worried about losing Song to a big injury than RVI. But maybe that is because losing RVI to injury happens all the damn time and we have proved time and again we aren’t reliant on him, no matter how good he is. Whereas you take Song and Vermaelan out the team and we lose to Blackburn and get spanked 8–2.

lol it just is untrue

now that villa/torres/eto’o/drogba are on the slide he is probably the best centre forward in europe

yr defence is very fragile w/ injuries but then vermaelen to koscielny is a much smaller dropoff than rvp to chamakh/park

Cavani? Aguero? Higuain?

they are great but none of them can run an attack like rvp (a #10 by nature)

number none otm, nakh has the rest covered

song is the perfect arsenal lucas, i suppose. i like the dude, but if he’s your best player—or anywhere near—then scrapping for 6th is your level and you shouldn’t front otherwise

Thanks for including the third option, btw

the ‘no and jtiac’ is indeed implied fwi

is the normal ‘yes’ to say that ebjt isn’t a cunt?

it’s implied tbh

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

Voted option three, natch.

look, this is essentially gonna be 1 “No” vote and 35 “EBJT is a cunt” votes

i think i voted the undiluted ‘yes’ tbh lest there be accusations of a taint in the ballot

Voted “Yes plus EBJT is a cunt”. I wouldn’t have been able to live with myself had I voted otherwise.

y’all lack discipline imo

Automatic thread bump. This poll’s results are now in.

Never in doubt.

But three “NO“‘s? wtf sandbox

ilx sambots imo

i voted no cuz i’m a contrarian bastard. also because iirc rvp was still playing and scoring even when arsenal were getting humped every week, so something else must be having an influence. also because if he gets injured then 15-year-old academy sensation launchpad mcquack will slot in perfectly.

that is the best thread iirc

but yes u are a contrarian bastard, just because a team are one-man doens’t mean they operate even with that man

pretty sure the one-man team thesis will be put to the test at some point this season, as if Theo’s 134 assists and that one goal Gervinho scored haven’t disproved it already

and Arshavin did that thing. It was a few years back, but...

that’s from prior to this weekend, he now has 5 assists

did arteta score any of those 4 for everton? cos if so.....

who nakh feo or rvp

weird absence of wolves players from both lists

rvp xp

kinda wonder why someone playing alongside lethal finishers like gervinho, walcott and the retired former russia #10 hasn’t got even more assists tho

because all of those natural replacements for rvp are being played on the wings ochone ochone the waste

maybe they could paint a big bullseye on Gervinho’s forehead

that’s actually not as bad as i thought tbh

Vermaelen the stand-out replacement for injury prone RVP there

spurs have five players more effective than theo, but nobody as good as one-man

spurs are a five-man team

as my brother pointed out we’ve now scored as many goals as RVP which makes us a 7 or 8 man team iirc

wolves are gonna struggle, looking at the stats

it really means you’re an eight-man-not-as-good-as-one-good-man team

i’m well aware of that thank u very much

i wanted 2 b sure

anyway, maybe we shd go in for Theo in January, his prolific assist rate wd soon have us climbing the table

right i’m up in 6 hrs that jpg will have to serve as signing off

yeh i shd try to sleep, will count Theo crosses or something

i r defeated

testify beatch

i change my mind.

I hear last night RVP didn’t play and Arsenal lost
