christine it’s when you hold a lighter in front of a lemon peel and then express the oils from the peel through the flame onto a drink.

probably most common/famous one is to make a negroni and use a flamed orange peel.
yeah this drink is kind of pointless but i also haven’t used any of this homemade grenadine yet and it was the first result that came up on kindred when i searched “bourbon + grenadine”

If you have bourbon and grenadine, why not make a New York, New York? I can’t remember the exact recipe, but it’s a martini with bourbon instead of the gin and grenadine instead of the vermouth. I like it better than a Ward 8.

I hate being poor and just having one bottle of rum or bourbon or wine on hand. I want my liquor cabinet back! I miss my polar bears, my chocolate martinis, my belladonnas....
I’m so used to drinking at bars and spending fixed amounts of money to get my buzz, that now that I live with dudes who have oodles of liquor, I actually went to bed feeling shame last night because I’ve become conditioned to associate the buzz I had with spending $15–20...had to keep reminding myself I didn’t actually pay for any drinks!

Srsly if y’all can get yer hands on aus wines then do so—we make some fantastic chardonnay, semillon and strong reds.
