Given that I’ve already got a reference to Tina Turner in one of my earlier posts, this JB note could be proof that I’m living some kind of Tyler Durden-esque double life, not as a soap maker/revolution starter, but as a clandestine soul/R&B/funk researcher. I’ll wake up one morning from a stupor to find on my computer the finished manuscript of an in-depth 1000 page investigation into black music in America in the 60’s and 70’s, and I’ll have absolutely no recollection of having written it.
