A month later, he switched back to the iPhone. Ouch! When you can’t give away your phones to your own “youth,” it is time to stop hating on other platforms and look for ways to get people to use your product.

iTunes Match: Circling the Toilet

this is getting ridiculous—iTunes still stuck on the final “uploading” step—thinking of asking for a refund

how many are you trying to upload?

took the plunge myself; £20 to legitimise the grey areas in my music library is small change. has taken two days to upload 3000 of the 6500 unmatched songs

quite a fiddly service though, with lots of little weird intricacies

e.g. why are there mp3s greyed out and unplayable on my iphone, when I know they are already stored locally on the phone? because they’re ‘unmatched’?

Yeah I’ve had a lot of this as well- presume it’s a bug rather than intended. FWIW although you can’t select the song to play/redownload/delete it, if there are other selectable tracks in the same playlist/album you can play the previous one and get to it by skipping forward.

I’m also still uploading (and have been since Saturday morning)—it seems to get stuck a lot—there’s no indication in itunes it’s hung or anything, but activity monitor shows there’s no data being uploaded.

Oh and it also makes the music app in my 3gs slower than treacle.

Seems like it might be quite good when mature, but is just way buggy at the mo. Kinda surprised because this has been out in the US for a month or two, right?
