good luck sheriff came back and then went out again. he is in the hospital. he has a cat. know what makes me sad? thinking of being in the hospital and having a cat at home alone who doesn’t understand what’s going on. is that weird? they don’t care, right?
poor kitty. which brings to mind a question i have always had which is: if you are on a sequestered jury do they pay for pet boarding/care? or just let to out of jury duty?
when i was in the hospital in july i was all freaked out because of lyle and my inability to immediately find a visitor for him, but
tbh while he *likes* food, i think with him it’s more about ‘it is 6pm and i am owed food’ than the actual eating
anyway i hope good luck sheriff and kitty are soon reunited, and that shoes sheriff isn’t too jealous
sometimes when i get home from work and i’m fumbling for my keys at the door i hear my cat squealing desperately and i wonder what she is thinking. it is mostly “i ran out of food an hour ago and i am going to die.”
i visited sheriff and ate some pudding and ice cream at the hospital. he is getting out tomorrow. he showed me a picture of cat and said “doesn’t he look skinny?” i said no he just looks mad. it’s a huge cat. i’m glad cat’s wait is soon to be over.

i was so proud i did my taxes on paper and mailed them in. except i just checked my status and they said they eliminated my refund and decide i owed them $1600, which is 100% wrong. and i called their suggested number and they said they cannot take the call right now due to extremely high volume. so cool.

good luck sheriff has cancer so he was out for a little bit and now he is back but can only work in the secure parking garage, which is not accessible to me except from outside. today i visited him and i was like how do i get back in the courthouse and he was like oh i don’t need this till august you can have it and gave me his sheriff id badge with prox card and now i can go anywhere in the courthouse and i have achieved the rank of lance corporal. i also have a 90s cop mustache.
