Yellow shells, clapboard house, the occasional burst of well-calibrated weirdness. After andy@grasshopper.org and gygax (both gone but neither forgotten), you have entered my pantheon of favored posters.
Here is a picture of a man in an inflatable ball

Why thank you!
That soccer ball is the best.
good thread, good person :)
here is a giant ball of pants

well, jeans really
here is a giant ball doing some fake damage

A thread of happiness! As it should be.
here is a giant ball of mostly liquid hydrogen and gases

possibly a rocky core
Yay for Beth! And yay for Jer as well, for he is truly a darl.
63 moons!
xpost
truly
i take full credit for all bethparkerness on ilx. you are all very very welcome. she is truly a ray of crazy sunshine. i am very appreciative of her and donald’s presence in my island life. sorry i missed donald’s party, beth! next time i see you guyz i will have a big stack of records for him.
63 moons? A rude little planetary system, that.
hahar it is so cheeky haha
thanks, scott!
ball lightning?

beth parker isn’t on myspace, but i want her to be my friend.
i dig the groove of beth’s house
which i just saw on the house thread and which i am probably going to have a dream about tonight :)
“Robyn Dreams of Beth’s House” — the new Flaming Lips single. Maybe.
thanks, trayce! i was going to post a picture of anne of green gables on this thread, but for some reason that seemed out of place. hence:

I get to take credit for Beth. Without me, you would’ve never met her.
But I forget who I owe for introducing me. Problee boblee.
well i KNOW who introduced me to her, i’m only taking credit for the ilx part. don’t you go putting your I’s in bold-type at me, crazypants!
stop flirting!
hi Beth Parker! I dig your way with words.
remy bean, my mom used to be a geometry teacher and part of her assignments would be to make her students construct objects like that. We had a lot of beautiful thingies (dodecahedrons?) around.
I miss the art thread from realILX.
I am coming to visit a native MVI friend next month and it would certainly be fun to meet you all. I can bring treats upon request.
here is a giant ball of pants

this is how gygax! (RIP) was taken from us!! :(
I like Beth Parker very much. She’s one of those posters who never fails to make me smile.
Here’s a picture of a large amethyst geode for you :

If only we had had a geometry teacher like that, instead of one who just made us use protractors.
Beth Parker, I dig your grave

I heart Beth Parker! Here is a giant ball of fossilised prehistoric snakey creature just for her!

She’s the koolest kat on the black! I love Maria and Scott, who are equally coolio, for bringing her to ILX. HURRRAAAAHHH
I love ammonites! They’re my favourite fossil. I’d love to own one the size of a car tyre.
I only have a small one I found on a beach on the Isle of Wight. The really huge ones are amazing but excedingly unlikely you would find your own, and stupid expensive to buy.
The little ones I’ve got were from a beach on the Isle of Wight, too! Whale Chine, I think. There’s a geologist who lives on the island who runs fossil-hunting tours around the south of the island—we bumped into him while we were looking for fossils at the base of the cliff one day, and he told us that someone HAD found a really big ammonite there, just the week before! I was so envious.
Beth rules.

I am a prisoner of your love!
Beth, I think I could be you in 20 years.
omg lovefest. beth parker is awesomes.
I’d add to the Beth accolades but am agog at giant ball of pants.
Beth is an internet goddess, clearly. LOVE HER!
Beth Parker, leavening (levity?) to all our bread.
i did have dreams of beth-like houses! more blue and green and watery tho
(i missed the gygax! RIP as re: ball of jeans. ??)

my head is becoming so swelled, it may fall off.
Here is my Ammonite!

and here is my ammonite! I bought it—it wasn’t too expensive. In an amazing rock shop on Rt. 180, west of the Petrified Forest in Arizona. They had big slabs of polished petrified wood made into coffee tables—talk about shattering wine glasses. Those were thousands of dollars, but then they had tons of baskets of other stuff. Shark’s teeth, agate marbles, you name it.
I would LOVE to fine one, though. A friend of mine just came back from Costa Rica with the most amazing cylindrical beach-stones, one baby-blue! Also a fossil snail shell, blackish-gray with white quartz-looking crystals in the groove of the whorls.
The scan embiggened it. It’s only 2“
Beth is the bee’s knees.
xpost—THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!
i dig the groove of the whorls
ball of pants has been printed and affixed to work monitor. This will get me through the day.

I dig the groove of the world.
I love how the pants are chained. Like a giant prisoner got away from his pantball and chain. And the guards, who carried pantball guns.
I like the idea that Columbus’s big giant head is floating out in the Atlantic.
i just save’s that pic as ‘beth’s groove of the world’—so neat
Paul Eater, definitely email me before you come to the island. Who’s your friend here? One of us probably knows him/her, the way this place is. Small and all.
this thread needs a groove gage. wow, the diameter of the groove that is this thread is off the charts!

i’ve also used the rockwell hardness tester on this thread. it’s not that hard!

Beth, je ne sais pas si tu es plus adorable ou charmante.

Great Maiden’s Blush, Origin: Europe, pre-15th century.
Beth Parker, I dig your grove, too!

Beth, you are the cat’s ass.
I...dive your grog?
Beth: A+++
More pretty rock pictures, plz!
I have used Beth’s ilx-coined phrase “feral-slut hair” at least 5 times in real life now.
I see how that could appeal to a man.
