I propose a walk from Palmers Green railway station to Capel Manor, stopping off in Enfield Town for lunch.

You can get to Palmers Green from King’s Cross by train. Alternatively, buses 121 or 329 will take you there from either Turnpike Lane or the next stop, Wood Green on the Piccadilly Line.
What time shall we meet? Is 11.00 ok for people?

Emsk, I’ve sent you TFL’s views on the cycle. Green Lanes appears to be the longest road anywhere ever.
What is the point of going for a walk in the country if it DOESN’T go all Country Life?

Yeah, the second half is pretty much the same as the TFL. Unsurprisingly its recommendation for the first half is “Get to River, head straight up until you’re nearly heading away from your destination, then head west (to the start of Bruce Grove)
