but there’s just something so... drinkable about it

I’m curious what people mean when they say this. I see it on blurbs for wine all the time. And of course, being a smart-ass, my first thought is, “Well I should hope it is!” But what exactly is it meant to convey — that it’s smooth, or goes down easy...?

Yeah, I know what you mean (“Oh, you mean it doesn’t scar my throat on the way down? I’m in.”) I just mean that, yeah, it goes down easy, I guess. Like, there are some darks I enjoy but that I would take a little more time with because they’re heavy or strong otherwise. This one I can drink like it’s water. Now that you mention it, I’m not sure exactly what serious beer or wine snobs mean by the term either but I assumed that was more or less what it meant.

i recently had some young’s double chocolate stout and it was really damn nice.

i was less impressed with ‘belgian passions comics & beer’ beer.

Like, you feel like drinking more after you finish? That’s sort of what I meant too.

it was for a charity event where not everyone was a beer drinker, so it seemed organized as an evolutionary-overview of brewing. pretty fun though, and I had never had Fond Tradition before.
