My laptop used AVG who have now ended their free trial. Before committing one way or the other does anyone have any advice for me regarding good anti-virus software? I’ve got a couple of spyware things installed but I was wondering if there was a good free one out there like AVG or one that is good value and updates regularly!

I think it’s only version 7.1 which is being discontinued, the newer 7.5 is still free afaik http://free.grisoft.com/doc/avg-anti-virus-free/lng/us/tpl/v5 will have more info.

Yep, I upgraded 7.1 free to 7.5 free no problem.
