Cue Black Lace “we’re ‘aving a gang bang“.

this must be on terrestrial tv 4 times a year. still, it is good though.

It was the first film I ever saw where working class people spoke like they do in real life.

It features the exchange (approx):

“You’ve never been anything or done anything your whole bloody life.”

“I have done some things.”

Which is one of my favourite bits of film dialogue.

That’s all.

my old boss would say ‘i did some things’ to mean he was drunk/had been under the influence, because of the paralytic state that bloke is in when he says that line. *impossible* to think he isn’t REALLY that drunk too.

“I thought I were great!”

the dialogue in the car after and before the have sex is brilliant

sue’s father seems to be the template for frank gallagher from shameless i thought, but frank is better, sues dad was a bit panto and ropey IMO (kinda let the film down a bit cos everyone else was so good but at least he was only in a few scenes)

“I find him OK”
