It hides the part in square brackets when viewing the New Answers page.

Do you feel as though it is an issue? I mean it’s really easy to ignore IMO. And it does seem unlikely as it makes much difference in terms of snarkiness, given ILXors are kind of world leaders in this field without it.

Also worth bearing in mind that there will be a lot of people who will also like it, and perhaps we can all learn to live together.

I have to admin I had 100% forgotten about “Hide Thread Info on New Answers Page”. It’s much better! I mean it’s not been a big deal as I barely look at the site, but yes I will find a way to make a simpler new answers-type page.

In a similar fashion, you might notice that the posts don’t show the name/time every post—they just show it if they change. Tried to reduce the visual noise if it wasn’t relevant.

I did notice, and I actually changed the setting lol. Love the customization options!

FYI—I switched to the dark mode setting, and some text fields display light text on a white background for me:

Yeah dark mode was not easy to do and I’m not surprised I have missed a few things. I’ll be able to sort it.

Crutis, I fixed the dark mode thing (although I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few others like that), and have put in a minimal board activity display, which does roughly the same as the old one does (well, it’s exactly the same, but the old one didn’t show snippets of new threads—I’ve left them in, but I can easily remove them if that’s better.)

It’s not on the sandbox yet, because it’s all new and it’ll take a few days to fix up stuff so that it’s easy for me to upload new versions to it, but it should be there by the weekend or so.
