btw the hangover came hard and swift after i posted, a pbr headache pushin my head into the ground, a day of rum sloshing me around on the ferry. i am only starting to feel normal now, sunday morning from friday night.

sorry friend. friday was rather decadent wasn’t it.

everyone was here last night for drinks, then we went to oliver’s twist for drinks and small plates, then back here for more. the 3 of us went late later latest and drink drank drunk.

now they’ve just left and i may have to take a week off for recovery purposes.

not drunk, but i have just made the most delicious drink:

juice of 1/2 a fresh grapefruit + gin, shaken, over ice.

simple yet wonderful!

apparently this is called a greyhound.

my understanding is that a greyhound = vodka + grapefruit juice

a cursory google search indicates that my understanding is limited, though not entirely incorrect

the search told me the same thing, max. my sister told me it was a greyhound.

perhaps it is like a martini, where you can have vodka or gin, but all the cool ppl drink them with gin.

grapefruit-based drinks are good when you are sick/getting sick. sort of.
