also i had the revelation in this game that a lot of denvers success on offense is based on broken pass plays where tebow extends the play and improvises. his in-game instincts are pretty excellent.

yeah outside of the whole “how do these miracles keep happening” angle I think there is a good argument to be made that Tebow is much better all-around now than he was 6 weeks ago. as bad of a passer as he is I think Denver’s wideouts probably make him look worse than he actually is

o come on

they are awful; its true

i mean its pretty hard to say if he’s actually better—to me it seems he continues to do a few things pretty well. he generally makes good reads on the option, he’s an amazing runner, and he can hit dudes downfield when coverage breaks down.

tebow had no control those first few games. no one could’ve caught his wayward passes. but i gotta say he does seem to be coming along pretty quickly

theres srsly nothing a receiver can do to make a wobbly ass pass that misses by ten yards any worse

can’t believe ilx is falling for it

i mean why are we even talking abt this, hes the worst starting qb in the nfl by a wide margin and were all well he seems to be getting a lil better

you can probably only see it if you are a true believer, but on the left side of this picture of tebow, you can just make out jesus, dressed in white.

*prays*

you guys:

Shockey: Texans disrespected America during national anthem

“I was pretty upset when they weren’t showing respect to America during the national anthem,” Shockey said, via the Houston Chronicle. “There were about 10 players who didn’t put their arms across their chest. This is America. They should at least give respect to America. I haven’t seen it anywhere else in the NFL, but I don’t know how you forget to do something like that.”

: D : D : D : D : D : D : D : D : D

well they play for the independent republic of texas duh

wait

not “hand on heart” but “arm across chest”?????

hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

i mean why are we even talking abt this, hes the worst starting qb in the nfl by a wide margin and were all well he seems to be getting a lil better

by some measures he is but he does a lot more for the team than many QBs do and I’d argue that there have definitely been a few worse QBs that have started the past couple of weeks. QB’s like Cam, Vick, Young etc. have never really had to complete a high % to be successful (granted, they need to do more than what Tebow is doing now)

i mean we talk about him because he’s the biggest story in football right now, if you don’t like it you don’t have to discuss it

dude we’ve moved on to lolling at Shockey and absurd Slate slideshows, Tebow is so 28 yards ago

i dont mean dont talk abt tebow dont talk abt is he good he is not good only talk lolz

either lol or get lold @

have we discussed how sweet that Panthers trick play was

BOLTZ

Tim Tebow might not defeat Aaron Rodgers this year but Kyle Orton did.

i mean why are we even talking abt this, hes the worst starting qb in the nfl by a wide margin and were all well he seems to be getting a lil better“

No fxxxing way Tebow is the worst QB in the league. Tebow’s completion percentage is bad, but all you have to do is look at the last month performance of Caleb Haney to start. That’s dude has thrown more TDs to D-lineman than his own team in the past month.

Caleb’s only a starter by proxy tho due to injury, Tebow was like NAMED the starter....

blackout in San Francisco

egads, what? I was just about to go turn on the tv and watch.

Wonder how long it will take to fix.

looks ok now?

c’mon niners

alex smith is not good.

he should pray more.

lolling @ ben roethlisberger btw

did you guys see ben before the game, kneeling in the endzone, grabbing a piece of grass and then clasping his hands in prayer?

yes wtf

oh man another power outage?!?!?

“Hi, Tebow”

Tom Brady = alpha dog

can’t stop watching

excellent throwing mechanics on that spike

<3 u tom

lol @ that reporting on the power outage — uh some ppl remember the 89 earthquake but no one else knows whats goin on

that reporter sounded so panicked

ooh football players so tough cant play football in the dark

brady’s accuracy is so incredible. he hits that O right in the middle.

stillers your kicker is SUISHAM don’t even go there @ 55 yards

are now a part of the Rhythm Nation

<3<3<3

Intewfewence

need seven here, no more threes

Smith and Davis owning this drive

That’s a td IMO

Lol cameraman bit

don’t give it right back

yes, yes

there we go, that should do it

man this is just pure stubborn bullshit on the part of the steelers

Caleb’s only a starter by proxy tho due to injury, Tebow was like NAMED the starter....

in that case...

I don’t know if this is recent or what, but

“Honey Badger don’t care about no lights!”—49ers coach Jim Harbaugh on the MNF blackout in locker room speech.

Luck’s going to the Colts, der. Does Miami take RGIII or Barkley? My guess is that they’ll take whichever one turns out to be a dud in the long run.

man that graphic

i don’t think the dolphins are going to be high enough to take RGIII

i feel like the colts might win this thurs & ppl will lose their mind or else they will somehow lose in a fishy way & ppl will lose their mind

also i havent watched this tcu-la tech game the entire way but what ive seen has been p dope—la tech is good

guess i shd use the college thread

Texans should root for the colts tonight right?

texans fans

texans have fans?

yeah do you think Houstonians care about anything other than football?

kind of a slow game after a super fast start? foster is such a beast tho

Dan Orlovsky!

Guys, Dan Orlovsky is executing a pretty successful 2 minute drive, here.

mixed emotions in Indianapolis right now

it truly is a cruel twist of fate that the Texans finally make the playoffs and have to do it with Yates. granted he’s done pretty well tonight but it’s a far cry from having Schaub or even Leinart.

this game has been kinda nuts

It’d be pretty nuts to have a Super Bowl between the Saints (who lost to the Rams) and the Texans (who may lose to the Colts), also.

ive been saying all night that indy will win this

orlovsky is infuriating if ur rooting 4 him — so many passes either tipped or just wildly overthrown/thrown away

Oh man the Texans are just killing themselves right now.

also SO MANY flags in this game right?

love it

Hahahaha “It took them three hours to find the end zone but they finally did!” The 2011 Indianapolis Colts!

such conflicted cheering indianapolites amirite

first time i think i’ve ever rooted for indy?

orlovsky time

WHO NEEDS LUCK BUILD THE TEAM AROUND DANNY O

Manning isn’t hurt, he just pretended to be all year so he’ll win at least 2 more MVP trophies when he comes back

I still LOL when thinking of the time on the Lions when, backed up deep in their own territory, Orlovsky dropped back to pass, and ran out of the end zone and completely didn’t realize it.

would stl take luck with the 1st pick? would minny?

The Rams would be in a pretty awkward position if they had the #1 pick too, really. They could probably get someone to trade a whole bunch of stuff for Luck, though.

It looks like the draft order for teams with similar win totals goes to strength of schedule, then Division tiebreakers (the same as to determine which team wins a division, apparently), Conference tiebreakers (same), and then a coin flip.

I would guess Colts have the weaker schedule from quick glance (Vikings played the Packers twice, Detroit twice, the NFC South has two good teams and the AFC West is blandly OK; Rams play SF twice, Saints, Packers, Ravens, and Steelers), but I dunno.

Hahaha xp

vikings have the strength of schedule disadvantage, but they can conceivably have that turn around in the next two weeks.

also, the colts are playing blaine gabbert next week.

deion said something like “they can trade up and steal, they can trade back and steal..”

^is honestly the single most mystifying thing i ve ever heard not even just sports-wise
