thibbs is a great coach but if you think he couldve done shit w/the pre garnett c’s idk what to say
i guess teams not being able to score inside on the celtics right after garnett arrived was just ~magic~

They had Garnett playing awesome man defense! On opposing team’s best big men. But challenging drives to the basket? That’s never been his best asset.
I’m just narrowing down possibilities jh0
he was straight patrolling the paint! as someone who watched all the games i assure you!
or should I say... SCOOPS
has any NBA ever tried the ‘fat goalie’ theory of defense—get somebody who is literally so fat that guards would get called for charges any time they tried to make a layup
hes actually is vulnerable one on one if the opposing player has weight on him, he matches up well w/gasol but not zach randolph, for that they had perk, rip
he’s always been a cherry picker with blocks. If it’s a serious challenge at the rim he bails. That’s why he’s averaged fewer blocks than Gasol. He might “patrol the paint,” but he doesn’t guard the rim.
or should I say... SCOOPS

you can’t draw a charge with love handles.

c’mon this is def worth a try
btw I’m not saying KG is a bad rim protector, but in the scheme of his herculean defensive gifts, it’s the least.
well maybe hes better at defending point guards in the backcourt, but that skill just isnt that valuable is the thing, considering the relative value of the defensive things he does guarding the rim is his most important defensive contribution
there’s no way he’s the second best at it over the last decade though, that’s crazy
with the twolves he wasn’t even as good at it as Nesterovic.
This is all so great. They can cancel the season and just keep trading star players, then canceling the trades, and concocting new trades, round-the-clock.
Come Xmas day I won’t have the slightest idea who plays for which team beyond Dirk being on the Mavs.
kobe is mad lol
Seeing this makes me happy.

:)
knicks are gonna get crawford in a sign-and-trade
just what they need
Perk lost 32 pounds and looks like a different dude!
wow! hes lost like a hundred pounds since being drafted
whut
what the fuck!
him and jonah hill need to be in a buddy comedy now
getting away from Big Baby was good for him.
not sure what thats gonna do for his game tho, his best skill was being able to lean on dwight howard
yeah i had the same thought
might improve his overall durability?
maybe KG gets to call him a cancer patient now
:-)

sarcasm? sometimes it’s hard to tell.
Janis Carr: Metta World Peace was joking when said he was out of shape. “If I showed u my abs right now, you’d probably leave your husband.” about 34 minutes ago
lol
ramonashelburne @ramonashelburne — Couldn’t help notice Kobe Bryant head up to Kupchak’s office after speaking with the media today.
i would have found it really hard to root against a lakers team with world peace and cp3 on it tbch
Rick Carlisle: “But I will say this, Khloe’s my favorite Kardashian. She’s the coolest.”
awesome
pacers signed david west 2 years 20 million. seems like a decent deal
houston close to signing marc gasol for max/contract via sign-and-trade with memphis.
that’s a good deal for the pacers
O_O @ marc
pretty sad about that, was loving that memphis team
yeah, they’re totally blown-up now.
yeah why are all the fun teams getting blown up
what, I thought david west was going to celtics!
fell-through.
i think everyone in the world collectively decided that it made no sense
I wonder what houston is giving up, if anything? anyway, great deal for them.
I guess the plan all along was a gasol brothers tandem, that would have been so fun.
gasol/scola/valuncinas is a hilarious/great frontcourt
you mean motiejunas?
yeah
i mean what’s the difference, but yeah
would gasol/scola be the first all-international frontcourt in the league?
did you get to see his awesome post-draft press conference where he basically challenged Dwight Howard to try to block him?
lol i don’t recall
i mean what’s the difference, but yeah

There’s a huge difference! Valanciunas is gritty and works his butt off, Motiejunas is a pretty boy with skillz.
“Dwight Howard, these guys are strong, strong men,” McHale said. “The first time you play against Dwight Howard, you’ll understand a lot better.”
Still, when Motiejunas was asked if he was ready to make the jump to the NBA, he basically said bring it on.
“I just want to say maybe one word now about the thing about Dwight Howard,” Motiejunas said. “He can push me. If he can catch me, then we’ll see.”
Hearing this, McHale said: “Easy big boy, easy. They got TVs in Orlando.”
yeah good luck w/ that
lol he weighs 215 lbs and is 7’0
from youtube highlights he looks like a candyass
The ‘skinny’ on Motiejunas is that he he doesn’t push himself very hard. He definitely needs to meet Dwight Howard and then, yes, “we’ll see”.
Motiejunas has Bargnani written all over him.
btw, rockets beat writers think that Memphis will probably just match the Gasol offer.
would gasol/scola be the first all-international frontcourt in the league?

Duncan and Oberto
memphis def needs to keep marc
i always forget that marc went to high school in memphis
Timmy’s a US citizen right? and I guess by international I meant “players who played first in overseas leagues” xp
Timmy had the choice to play for States or Virgin Islands. Chose the States.
Yao and Scola fit the criteria.
Tim Reynolds @ByTimReynolds — For all who keep thinking Chauncey Billups will be a Heat guard soon, just stop. There’s maybe — maybe — a 1% chance.
so, what you’re saying is . . . THERE’S A CHANCE?
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA — DeAndre Jordan has signed a 4 year, $43 million offer sheet with Golden State, agent Greg Lawrence tells Y!
hmm
that’s going to be matched
clippers have 3 days to match, yeah.

If you are tall and can kinda sorta play you are getting paid this year.

his career stats don’t seem very impressive for someone his size (6 points 5 rebounds). i don’t know too much about him — maybe he’s got great potential? and, obv., can’t teach size.
ah, right.
hah
pros: big, young, athletic, rebounds well, blocks shots, gets along well with others
cons: no basketball skills, abysmal ft shooter
he dunks like a motherfucker, blocks shots, fits well with blake as far as my barely basketball savvy mind can perceive
gilbert arenas cleared waivers. free to sign anywhere.
QBKILLA Warren Sapp
Church’s $$$$ On The Ground!! #TebowTime
I keep on forgetting that the clippers have potential now cuz of blake
“I don’t like it,” said Bryant. “To be honest with you, I don’t like it.”
:)
Late Saturday night, Odom’s wife and reality TV co-star, Khloe Kardashian, tweeted, “I am curious as to how I am the cause for any trade?”
As Bryant continued to answer questions about Odom joining the team that swept the Lakers out of the second round of the playoffs last spring, his anger grew.
“Now I’m getting pissed off,” he said.
lol kobe’s comments are, like, 8 news cycles ago but i see you’re fond of it.
i’m also happy to see kobe so upset!
sry i went to the movies today so I missed like 25 news cycles

eh really you’d want a guy alongside blake who could shoot. or shoot fts.
how many of those guys are there?
sry i went to the movies today so I missed like 25 news cycles
no problem fyi dwight howard is now a clipper blake griffin is now a timberwolf and lebron james is now a net.
how many of those guys are there?

eh probably about as many as there are good shotblockers.
marc gasol is getting a max deal from the rockets? !_!
this made me lol
Hornets asking for E Gordon, Kaman, Bledsoe, Aminu and 2 1st round picks, sources say
no pony?
why the hell ask for kaman
really it’s pretty similar to the melo deal, which I’m sure went into their thinking there.
Kamen deal up at the end of the year. Could flip him or move Emeka if they keep him. He’s a chip, if a flawed and damaged one, and if DeAndre “no discernable basketball ability” Jordan can get 40+ million Chris will be worth something to someone.
