fuck me Norwich are 3–1 up, can i hear a bubble bursting?
a lesser manager might’ve thought about bringing Hunt or Hammill on 15 minutes ago, but Mick knows that 4–1 down is the ideal time to make an attacking substitution
Fuckity fuck, maxi and suarez exchange a couple of 1–2’s and walk it into the box only for cerny to save from maxi AGAIN.
1–1 written all over it this
we’ve only hit the post once today mind which is disappointing
Everton were playing 7–2–1 but now they are taking off Saha to really make Cryuff proud.
rooney prob deserves to be held in a bit higher esteem in the uk. i mean obv around here everyone rates him as world class but you turn on the tv and people are acting as if he’s some bludgeoning sub-kuyt figure.
everything in place for the inevitable 1–1
dont. just dont.
i’ve been hurt too many times before.
oh good, we’re onto “the magic and mystique of Man United” now that the game’s gone a bit quiet
gah stupid free kick skrtel
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh RVPPPPPP
What a beauty
my stream died, maybe it was for the best. poor ik, spending money on this.
lol i shld stop watching more often i guess.
need bellamy on for the counter
Wigan 2–1 up, great escape starts here
oh good, we’re onto “the magic and mystique of Man United” now that the game’s gone a bit quiet

can’t say we haven’t deserved this beating, btw, but i feel like 4–2 wd be a slightly fairer reflection of the match
does dalglish believe in using subs?
ah here comes craig
commentators making out McCarthy was ballsy for starting 4–4–2 but it was the only logical option really
he was waiting for you to remind him!
(xp)
bellamy 20 secs in and he’s already told the ref to “fuck off you prick”. Bless.
United fans showing faith in the squad by singing about Cantona
The way Everton have been playing for a draw is repulsive though. How low did they sink etc
we’re fslling apart here
bellamy and barton rowing, how surprising
just seen rvi’s goal. for fans of volleys :D
the sooner somebody like Bellamy kicks Joey Barton to death the better the world will be
They just replayed RVP’s celebration. He runs to the bench and celebrates with the subs, but it’s like Wenger did a reverse AVB by fleeing the scene
maybe they can kill each other and make everyone happy.
oh dempsey, own goal AND a missed penalty
just seen rvi’s goal. for fans of volleys :D

and of Song passes!
United fans showing faith in the squad by singing about Cantona
Tbf it’s sung every December
yeah i figured i just cdn’t resist the dig
Comfortable as you like for United. McCarthy out.
at least he took time to praise phil jones this morning.
off the bar now to keep our woodwork ratio up
Thank Christ for that. Jeez that was hard work!
Billy Wright, Stan Cullis, Steve Bull, Andy Mutch—can you hear me Andy Mutch? Your boys etc, etc
the woodwork thing is fucking ridiculous, what can it be put down to? they’ve now hit it something like 17 times.
besides just a tiny bit crap shooting
Villa get their first away win of the season. Just took playing the worst team in the league.
Staking a claim as the best of the teams with a negative goal differential. Woohoo.
FourFourTwo look pretty stupid for only putting Rooney at six in their list now. Phil Jones should have been top five as well
EyeOfTheGuy on Twitter: “Alex Song must surely be recognised now as the best in his position in the league? World class again today.”
didn’t know sam was on twitter.
Arsenal. Played well enough, but jeez they squander a lot. Gervinho is useful because fast, but makes Walcott look ruthless. Song was fine but this was no masterclass. Rvp had an unremarkable day. Ramsey’s good, he spots things early. The defence looked pretty poor, when Everton did solidify second half they were under pressure *a lot*.
What a goal though. I spend most of my time cursing people for not seeing passes straight away, not taking chances early & wasting them. I felt vindicated to see rvp do just that.
Everton. A little bit unfortunate to lose. Fellaini their best player by a distance, he knits everything together for them, has most composure, most vision, everything. When Saha went off and he went up front he was their best forward too. He’s a bit Zidaney, actually. Cahill’s good for what he is, very sticky. Baines and Coleman are decent though Coleman looks slow and I’d be working hard on his speed off the mark if I were his coach.
They’re all decent really, but I’d fear for them without Fellaini, they’d be a side who could go down in a bad year.
They also brought on two lads whom I’d never heard of, Gueye and McAleny, both of whom showed a bit of spark.
Ground’s nice if atmosphere-lite, but the queues for drinks were long and I could really have used a bovril today.
tbh i always thought of zidane as a proto-fellaini
IK, you are right about Fellaini, he was by far the best Everton player. I was really underwhelmed by their defending attitude, but thinking about it again, I just don’t think Everton can do any better.
Damn, RVP’s goal was magnificent.
It’s funny, but when Everton took Saha off and replaced him with Distin they suddenly began matching Arsenal. They’d been defensive ‘til then, but by pushing Fellaini from a Lucas role to an Adebayor role they became far more threatening. Maybe simply because Fellaini can win and hold the ball—Saha did nothing.

i am but i only at 2 in the morning, liveblogging wrestling, so this isn’t me.
tbh he didn’t do much today. well except the ball for rvi for the goal.
i agree about fellaini. he’s a remarkably odd player tho, ‘adebayor as a defensive midfielder’. i think the only place he wld suit, if he were to make the step up, wld be united.
Real Madrid (4–2–3–1): Casillas; Coentrao, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo; Xabi Alonso, Diarra; Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo; Benzema
Subs: Adan, Albiol, Arbeloa, Khedira, Kaka, Callejon, Higuaín
Barcelona (4–3–3): Valdes; Alves, Pique, Puyol, Abidal; Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta; Cesc, Messi, Alexis
Subs: Pinto, Mascherano, Maxwell, Keita, Thiago, Pedro, Villa
Benitez in the Sky Sports studio
this better be good, i’m in sick all weekend and i need some excitement.
coyf
valdes ffs
I think I defended Valdes at some point and I would like to apologize.
waht
looooooooooool
i know it’s only gone three minutes but so far this is terrible football
Real still tried to fuck it up
GOALFLASH: Real Madrid 1–0 Barcelona (Benzema)
2100: Captains Casillas and Puyol have shaken hands, and so have Mourinho and Guardiola, with the Portuguese kneeling down theatrically at the entrance to the tunnel to greet his rival. We have lift-off...
i cannot find 1 bloody stream that works.
I guess you can’t use Sopcast? It really is the way to go
Messi has only scored once a away from home this season. Big game bottler?
i was using sopcast!
Bloodzeed is what i use. All Sky streams, really reliable
someone mentioned a website where you could download games the other day? if they want to say it again, i’ll dl it tomorrow.
Yeah that was me. Don’t know what it was off hand but i’ll find it for you
in case you missed it alexis just made it 1–1 thanks to a beautiful messi assist
this is good.
can’t help but feel barca could do with a target man up front. they lack a 35m presence from free kicks.
This is the site
That’s better from Barca!
That’s better from Barca (again)!
WTF...POMO? anyone watching on sky?
Barca aren’t even playing near their best and still are 1–3 up. I expected more from Madrid tbh
Iniesta was great again though
to clarify my earlier comment, when benzema scooped that shot wide past higuain (i think) the sky commentator said to gerry armstrong: “pomo, gerry, pomo!” which sounded like “homo”.
then he said “position of maximum opportunity” and gerry armstrong didn’t raise any surprise at thsi, and his tone sounded like it was a stock phrase that everyone knew.
Yep, both me and my flatmate thought he said homo. Bizarre
I assume it’s a regular catchphrase on Sky’s Spanish coverage? Fuck knows
likewise, really one of the weirdest things i’ve ever heard watching a game.
xpost
Steve Claridge on the Football League Show, on Jimmy Kebe’s showboating against West Ham: “It doesn’t surprise me that it’s not an English player doing that.” Prat.

when zlatan retires, ppl gonna finally cotton on to the beauty they missed while too busy complaining about him
think you’re making a diff point? basically my flatmate and myself just had a lol during the game at how amazing it’d be to see andy carroll in a barca shirt.
would love Riise’s free kick to have been on target just to see if Vorm would have saved it
al-habsi’s save from brunt’s booming shot was p cool
alexis sanchez’s goal was class start to finish
ineista was amazing, lass reduced to wrestling him to the ground at one point
mourinho losing will never fail to fill me with joyful contentment
oh, and ronaldo was shit
still heart Mourinho, he just needs to drop these losers and get back in charge of a proper club
mccarthy out?
yes please
Don’t be so fickle, NV. You can’t suddenly start hating on Mick just because of one defeat.
pandemic otm

“No Dougal, these footballers are small, but these footballers are far away.”
sounds like Stoke are just bodying Spurs atm
There’s no chance we won’t lose this game.
