yes this is drog

Ray Wilkins is pretty #based

lol what a strange feud there, deuce is RAGING

brad guzan to start for villa now huh

dan m

liverpool aren’t going to win this...

I wish they had scored from that dodgy corner

xps si?

PENALTY REF!

PENALTY!

REF!

lol

i’ve lost any early optimism, literally anything could happen in this game cos of how liverpool play.

great little game tbh

class

brilliant from Suarez

ucking yards onside

an ucking disgrace

and onside too, f’ing hell

uck the linesman and uck ray wilkins

one of those nights

otm

bullshit...nothing in that.

Hm, might actually have been a red

oh look he’s not actually injured...what a surprise.

So he was playing after all. Never a red though

hate to say it, but Liverpool have been pretty hard done by in this game

legit goal given offside and a wrong sending off. agreed.

pretty unlucky all season tho, they’ve hit the woodwork some ludicrous amount of times.

suarez was off by a har imo, andthat’s a red

xpost Maybe as many as Newcastle at the weekend?

that was almost the inevitable

yeah it’s coming.

and again ffs

this is going to hurt

oooh

“Fulham just sense that they might be able to win this game”

what a save

Argh!

FFS THE POST

there we go...fuck sake

.,?)£

ggghhjdgkk

dddeeeeuuuucce

itt

this team can’t be relied on to score, and isn’t good enough at the back to even remotely get away with that.

I know, £100 million buys you nothing these days.

back in your box you

Is it just me or does Reina make quite a lot of mistakes these days?

he is a bit shonky...i guess he makes lots of great saves too.

De Gea is statistically the top EPL goalie btw

not in opta’s “least pubic sideburns” figure

remember when you used to go on about how overrated Van Der Sar was?

yeah and then he fucked up royally in the CL final as a timely reminder for you all of me being correct.

not seen enough of de gea to be honest to pass judgement...

De Gea is settling in well. Now that the storm of lolz that initially greeted his every move has died down

did that happen to bebe?

That was exactly the outcome i was fearing. Ach, every team has the occasional result like that ... but when it happens to City it’ll see their lead cut to 20 pts or something, whereas there Liverpool are in mid-table.

Yeah, was a clear red in retrospect.

No, not a red. And i don’t see the comparison mizzell

Was lucky not to break his leg imo, it was no Rodwell.

tonight made a grim day induced by drinking all weekend even more grim. sometimes i think liverpool cosmically chose me.

sorry, i misread your post and, anyway, there’s no real connection, i just like thinking about bebe

someone needs to i suppose

ffs liverpool can’t rely on you to do anything

Except consistently delight, perhaps

Definitely a red card—gets more ugly every time I watch it. Dembele was lucky that he didn’t get seriously injured.

another charge for Suarez then...

Anyway. I was really impressed with Henderson again. He played some lovely one touch passes. Beautiful driving run and shot in the first half, too. Really like him.

It means something different in Uruguay

He’s seen middle-fingers pointed at him from the stands in Holland for too long to use that excuse tbh

Guy on the left doesn’t seem too offended by it

Liverpool fans, what is your opinion of Suarez’s current form and shocking chance conversion rate?

he’s lost sharpness, imo- maybe needs a rest

He’s playing well. The strike rate is puzzling. He does snatch at things occasionally and there’s the odd shocker, but nothing worse than most strikers. I don’t know why he isn’t scoring more. I suspect it’s just chance.

I do wonder about his strike partner though, it’s got to weigh upon the choices he makes. There may also be an impact in his getting crowded out a bit more, defenders knowing he’s the one to mark.

Maybe there’s something playing on his mind, something that wouldn’t have played on his mind if he’d said it in Uruguay

Of all players to have scored three or more PL goals this season, Luis Suárez has the lowest shot conversion rate (7.7%)

Can’t be just chance

it’s not just chance, no

His finishing seems to be the poorest part of his game, he can hit a long shot and get into position but he’s not lethal enough

I do think the lack of a partner is putting him under pressure tho, teams double up on him and nobody is using the space that creates—carroll isn’t mobile, bellamy’s on the wing, gerrard is injured, no other midfielder makes advanced runs with any frequency and kuyt hates the box

I thoughtfully omitted Opta’s trademark one word summation there btw

Suarez has been banging them in for URgay recently—four in his last match?—so I don’t think it’s necessarily about his own lack of sharpness. But I think even last season Kuyt and Maxi were main beneficiaries of him causing havoc in the area. As he showed last night, Carroll isn’t really up to it.

It looks like he’s going to have difficulty getting any borderline penalty shouts too

carroll *could* be the partner, but it needs to be suarez feeding off the havoc he creates, not t’other way round- carroll was a lot better last night than he has been imo, but they weren’t functioning as a pair at all. Needs time, tbf

could give carroll all 5 years of his contract and he won’t amount to anything except a poor man’s emile heskey

i disagree, it was houllier turned heskey into heskey, before that he was p much unstoppable at leicester

ie you still have to coach a big man, even if what they do seems simple

a poor man’s emile heskey

That’s gotta hurt

how long until we get to say lol buying in form strikers from holland

with regard to suarez? pretty long time i should think.

Huh xp? Have you seen him, he’s playing well.

Have you watched the game yet pandemic? Would be interested to hear your thoughts on Carroll in this performance specifically.

Can’t tell if Carroll is doing things well or if we’re just desperate to pounce on anything half decent and claim it’s a sign he’s gonna be bloody fantastic.

he’s excellent at fouling opposition defenders tbf

Ismael—Performance in general was alright, though a bit disjointed and lacking in control. Henderson is better than I thought him to be when we signed him.

Carroll was okay, bordering on almost good. But we have one CF who causes mayhem in the opposition half but isn’t finishing well enough. Pairing him with a partner who supposedly causes mayhem in the opposition defence (but does so about 1 game in 5 as far as I can see) and who is a far far worse finisher than the guy who isn’t finishing well enough is a road to nowhere.

he could be awesome, i think he will be awesome again, being a 35m striker without a goid run of games in a pretty unsettled team may not be the necessary circs

some really easy games coming up for us so plenty of chances to get on the score sheet i’d imagine. ahem.

some really easy games coming up for us

words you should never see in print

i didn’t think henderson was great or anything last night, but would agree that he looks better centrally rather than out on the wing where his relative lack of pace is exposed.

Do lfc have pace for wide positions?

Downing? There was that driving run at the Sunderland defence on the opening day, and that shot that Schwarzer tipped on to the post last night. Bellamy?

Not exactly Bale or Lennon types though I suppose.

Krasic is on the outs at Juve
